25 comments and counting

by

A big thank you to everyone for their comments so far. I know Angelina will appreciate all of the kind words.

From what I can tell, AJ has been retrieving her mothers things from the hotel she was living in and planning her funeral. Brad has been at her side the whole time.

After more thinking I do think that leaving a city/state/country would be a good thing. If you’ve already left a comment and would like your local to be added, please contact me in the comments section and I’ll go back and add it.

Please keep the comments coming… spread the word to anyone you know that will want to add a comment. I’m also looking for artwork for the cover and for inside.

  9. Tiffany Merry Says:

    Dear Angelina, Brad and family,

My heart is with you all during this period of grieving and loss. I can relate to what you are feeling for I lost my father when he was 59. Actually, he died 10 days before his 60th birthday.

From what I have read, your mother has been ill for some time. That is not something I can relate to as my father was diagnoised and died within 90 days. I honestly don’t know which would be easier to deal with. While you knew she was sick, I am sure you still had hope for her recovery. I barely had time to process the fact that my father was sick, before I was planning his funeral.

It’s been 4 years for me, and I can say that time does make it easier, but I still wake up some mornings and listen to every Beatles song on my computer and cry. (Those songs remind me of him). And there are still a few songs that I have trouble hearing at all. I have too many memories of him playing them on the piano when I was young.

I don’t know where you are spiritually. I personally am not a christian. So I am not going to sit here and tell you your mother is ‘in a better place’. I will tell you that I believe your mother is with the rest of your ancestors, her family, and is at peace.

I also feel that while you have lost her physically, you might be able to gain a spiritual connection to her. I feel I have one with my father at this point, and there are times I feel his presence more than others.

I don’t think Time heals all wounds. I think Time just makes it easier to deal with our wounds. I know it doesn’t feel like it now, being so close to her death, but it does get better. This first year will be one of the hardest you have ever faced. But you will be a stronger person at the end of it.

I am truly sorry for your loss!

May you and your entire family find some peace in this time of turmoil!
