A 4-year-old boy!
US Weekly is reporting that they have confirmed, with Vietnamese officials, that Angelina Jolie is adopting a 4-year-old boy from the Tam Binh Orphanage. Vietnam’s adoption procedures take no more than 4 months and a fee of $125. Officials say they will not be giving Angelina any special treatment - which puts the time frame in July.
“[Jolie] will have to follow procedure like any other American,” Vu Duc Long, head of the Ministry of Justice for Vietnam.
“She promised to give $2 million to the Tam Binh orphanage on the very day she receives the child,” a Vietnamese insider told US Magazine.
How will Maddox react to having a child close to his age? And how will everyone involved handle the language barrier? Would any parents out there like to weigh in on the difficulties surrounding adopting an older child that has a likelihood of being neglected already and that speaks another language?
