A gift for Angelina Jolie
In my surfing around the internet, I’ve broken out in tears more than once reading the comments you all have made about your personal experiences with loosing a close family member and your well-wished comments are so heartfelt that I have I have decided to do what I can to help share them with Angelina and James. Using your words and pictures, I’m going to compile a scrapbook of sorts for Angie that will be filled with your thoughts and well wishes regarding the death of her mom. We all know that Angie is fab, the point of this scrapbook will be to let her know that her fans care about her and don’t necessarily need to be “all up in her grill”, but that she’s loved and her family is loved.
So here’s the drill….
Every day or so I will have a post at the top to add comments on. Post the comment you would like to appear in the book. I will not include anything hurtful or slanderous. Feel free to post a story, letter or poem of your creation. To send pictures or drawings, please contact me at the little “contact me� button on the side.
Entries for the scrapbook will close at 11:59 on Saturday February 10th. You may not have more than one note to Angie. Feel free to include your name, however I will not include email, address or phone information. Hopefully I can have the scrapbook pulled together by the following Wednesday and will do my best to find a way to post as much of it as I can on here. I’ll then send the book off to her agent.
Together, let’s show Angie and James that they are cared about.

My grandmother passed away from the same thing and she was in so much pain and sorrow. She held on for so long for us and I swear to you we told her she could let go because she was fighting for us during her coma and she knew it was her time. As it was your mother’s time. She is some where there is no more pain and she is looking of you and your family and is your guardian angel from above now. With time the wounds will heal just remember what a beautiful and loving person she was and the good times and you will get through this. My love thoughts and prayers are with you.

My best friend in the entire world passed away,i felt like i lost a sister.Im sorry the pain that you are going through,my heart and prayers go out to you. First I want to say that you amaze me! Second, my heart is with you. I heard about your mother’s passing and tears came to my eyes. I lost my mother when I was 2 1/2, and never got the chance to know her. You on the other hand have known your mother your whole life, and that is the best gift I think you could ask for. You will have memories your whole life and I think you are VERY lucky for that reason. Good luck in the future, and always remember all you have to do is think of her and she will be there.

To Marcheline Bertrand’s children, Angie, James, Maddox, Zahara and Shiloh. I am sure Brad you were like a son to her too. So here it goes…..On the background plays the song by Josh Groban, You are loved as I write this. Forgive me for not knowing how to understand how Marcheline sustained you and James through thick and thin when you were children. I am sure she was a dedicated and self-sacrificing mother. You both were her more important than her career. Importantly, she kept you both together even though, there was a lack of money for anything. She taught you both something priceless-unconditional love. Her smiles radiants in her pictures for you both. Her love, smiles and energy also radiate from you both. She left with you all her love, wisdom, memories of laughter, humor, touch, hugs and kisses most of all her unconditional love. Mom Marcheline is a shinning star that will burn bright for you all. Before I heard in on the news, my mind drifted to Marcheline wondering how she was doing today and then shortly after that I learnt she passed. I cried and mourn for her because she reminded of my dad who passed years ago. I also am estranged from one parent, my mom. My dad gave me unconditional love and I felt for you, Angie and James. Please remember that she is nearer in spirit and will be smilling, supporting, holding, speaking, kissing your foreheads and comforting you. She is never gone my dearest. My dad has been my only guide here and like your mom, she is a powerful force now. So although I grief with you, I also want to send you peace in this song, You are loved. I hope we can meet each other someday not to want anything, just to look at you and shake hands. Sending you love, hugs, flowers, song, comfort, May you find peace inside, Angie. Hi Angie, I don’t know you and I know I have no idea what you’re going through but I know that the death of someone so close to a person is the worst feeling in the world..You seem like such a strong person and I send my love to you, your brother, and the rest of your family. I’ve never been the same after the death of my grandmother who I rarely saw because she lived in Poland and I moved to Chicago elevan years ago when I was just seven, but no person ever showed me the unconditional, pure love she showed me. I’ve always believed that this world is only temporary, and if you believe that too then I hope the pain you are feeling is more bearable because you will one day see your mother again. I don’t know if it changes anything but I hope you know that your fans love and admire you, you’re in our thoughts and after such a tragedy I know there will be many praying for your happiness. I hope these words that I wrote from the bottom of my heart will make you feel less alone or even just a tiny, miniscule bit happier even if for just a couple seconds. I know that sometimes when a person feels such alienation and loneliness, just a second of happiness means so much, and I hope reading this fills you with that momentary happiness you need and deserve.

I was saddened to hear the news and tears come into my eyes. I know how you feel now because 10 years ago I lost my mother and also my father.
Your mother was the woman who we shall miss her very much. Do you khow why, because she gave to the world two beautiful people YOU and Your brother. Also I know that she was the greatest grandma to your Mad, Zee an Shiloh and I am sure Brad were like a son to her too. They will proud of their grandma when they grew up. I know what is like to lose someone that means so much you. I lost my father at a young age. It is something that completely changes your life. No amount of words will ever be able to replace that feeling of lost, but I hope that you feel some comfort in knowing that there are people in the world that care. I just wanna let you know that all your fans (including me) are here for you in this time of mourning. I know what it’s like to lose someone close and I know it hurts but just remember all the fun times you had with her through the years. She lived a wonderful life. Words could not express my deepest sorrows for the loss of your wonderful mother and friend. You and James have been truly blessed to have had a mother who was overflowing with love and courage. I have no doubt she would have given you the world if she could. Although her time here on earth was short, she has been abundantly blessed. I bet she could not have asked for a more beautiful life! She has raised a daughter who is making a difference in, not only the helpless lives of children, but in the lives of countless suffering souls. How that must have blessed her heart to know that she has raised such a magnificent spirit! How proud she must have been of you, how life fulfilling. She came to earth, raised two amazing children, lived to see the priceless smiles of her three grandchildren, supported you, cared for you, loved you… her work here is done. Now she’s in the loving arms of our Savior. No more pain, no more suffering. The only thing she has to do now is sing, dance, and enjoy an eternal, painfree life as she waits to be reunited with her two gifts when the time comes. She was truly a great lady.

The Pain of this long suffering of Angie’s mom will change her life & outlook even more. It is with a heavy heart I pray daily for Angie & her famiy. My own mother died the same way and at the same age Angie’s. Angie’s mother was a strong & loving woman from all I have read & will be Missed very much. I pray her grandchildern and see thier Grandmother, Marcheline Bertrand in the eeys of their Mommy and the love of their Daddy Brad. For James, you are sweet & tender. Help each other through this tough time and remind these babies, Marcheline Bertrand is alive & well in both of you. A mother always leaves traces of herself in her children. Peace

Words cannot alone express how sorry I am to hear this news. I am your fan from Poland and I would like to tell you that in every country in the world your fans think about you and your family. My grandma passed away from the same thing after a 5-year battle with cancer. The worst thing was that she died when she was fine and she looked so good, healthy and strong.
Words are not enough to convey my feelings at a time like this, but I want tell you that I am always by your side. I said a prayer for your dearest Mum. I think, Marcheline was happy, because she met Shiloh- I am sure that she waited for her, and she knew that now you have loving family with Brad,Maddox,Zahara and Shiloh. One of my aunts died last october of cancer, It was very difficult for our family but we took comfort in the fact that she was no longer in pain. Your mother seemed like a kind and courageous person, beautiful inside and out, and as I can see you are just like your mother. She must have been so proud of you. You have 3 beautiful children and a partner who no doubt will help you through this very difficult time. You will come through this stronger than ever. May your mother rest in peace. Angie my heart is with you. When that tread is broken between you and your mom you can feel so lost. You feel like a little girl alone. That’s the way I felt when I lost my mom to cancer long ago. You can be a grown women with kids, it doesn’t matter. That’s the way it can make you feel. I know you have lost your best friend, but I know your kids and Brad will be there for you. We love you and support you no matter what.

i was sad to hear that your mother passed and i know how you feel. Its so sad to have someone you known all your life and found out that they are gone, but you will see them again. You both had that great friendship and bond with your mother. She always been there for you. You are lucky in that you that you have your three young children, Maddox, Zahara, and Shiloh to make you laugh the way only a child can do. You also have Brad to take you in his arms and comfort you with his love. A mother’s wish is always to know that our children have loved ones to take care of them. In that, you have been blessed.

I lost my mother to cancer when I was 17,it is so hard to understand the loss for a female unless you go through it yourself. From what I have heard from you your mother was a good woman, and she raised wonderful children. I wish I could give some words that could take your pain away. However, I know the pain that you are experiencing. Ovarian cancer took my grandmother and by the grace of God my brother recovered from Leukemia. I am supporting those researches and admire you for having the people send gifts to cancer research!
I pray that God will give you, Brad, the children and James the strength and grace to get through this trial and tribulation. I send you great energy though this email and hope that it reaches you with good health.

Sincerest condolences, the pain won’t stop, the memories will rush back at moments when you least expect it. I lost my dad last year and people who have gone through it tell me that it’s like riding a roller coaster one moment you are happy they are in a better place the next you wonder how you can go on without them guiding you. i lost my mother eight years ago. i have grieved in private for those years, and cannot imagine what you are going through. i wish you space and a place where you can be safe and feel all your feelings. this never gets easier, only different. i still miss my mother on a daily basis. as an adoptee, i felt almost like an orphan again, but faith in all things light, good friends, and finding my biological family have kept me going. i might not have both mom’s, but i feel i have 2 angels always. may you be blessed with the same. you and james are loved and respected.

I have a close friend that is currently suffering from ovarian cancer for the 2nd time and she is constantly on my mind because I don’t want to lose her. I can’t imagine the grief you must feel right now. I’m sure lots of people will offer you that she’s in a better place now and I know that won’t stop the pain I’m sure you both feel, but just remember she isn’t hurting anymore. Think back on your time with her and all the happy memories I’m sure you have. Angelina, When i read that your mom had passed away, i was extremly saddend. My friend Alex’s mom died of ovarian cancer in early December, and I see everyday the change in him. I hope that with your strength and with the help of your family, you will be able to stay strong in this rough time. Throughout my life I have been able to connect well with my grandma off and on but she is the closest one to me. My mom has been lying to herself and the world for years living the life of a dramatic violent drunk. Anyway, my grandma recently was diagnosed with cancer in her throat. She is on her last week chemo and radiation therapy. Then in 6 months they will take her voicebox out. Her 6 weeks isnt up and she can’t talk beyond a slight slow whisper. She cant eat foods, uses a feeding tube. I gave her Chantix, the awesome quit smoking pill thats out. Anything to make her comfortable. It’s hard to process it all. Such a sad thing. If you died how do you think it would be for your loved ones and admirers all around? Such a horrible question, but have you ever thought about it?
I am sorry for everything one can be sorry for in this horrible happening. Sending love from Florida.

You have lost someone so precious to you. She is now your guardian angel. I am so sorry for your loss, but now she is free of pain and living in heaven. She will be with you always. Its been two years since my cancer passed away. I was younger two years ago and selfish and carefree and beautiful it seemed. So when my cancer arrived, I killed it; with every fiber of my being I killed it. Marcheline had been a very strong woman and mother for raising her kids all by herself. Big thanks for her for ever bringing an angel like her daughter into this world. Because of what angie had done, even if it’s only a little (comparing to other celebs) they indeed make a big difference for other people’s lives, and inspired others to do the same. Marcheline gave birth to a girl who already made this world a better place and make those who lost their hopes, can hope again.
Angie, Jamie, I can also feel the emptiness in your hearts for losing someone you really love and really trust. That’s what i felt when my grandfather passed away when i was 4 month pregnant with my daughter, and my grandmother followed him when i was 8 month pregnant. So my daughter never meets her great grandparents.

You have been such an inspiration for me as I have dealt with a connective tissue disease called Sjogren’s Syndrome. Currently there is no cure. We knew about her cancer when it was very spread, she kept the pain for herself, so she only last two weeks after we learn about her cancer.Too fast. My condolences, for my mother is my best friend and about your mother’s age and I am estranged from my father, her ex-husband. I cannot imagine what my life would be like if i lost my mom but i know she instilled in you strength and compassion and I know that she has served well in her time on this planet. I am sorry for your loss. I am sure your Mom is at peace though seeing what wonderful thing she has created in you and James. I hope that as time goes by that your pain will lessen. There is really nothing to do but keep doing what you are doing now and let time do its job.
Have a good cry everyday but remember there are other love ones who need to know you are okay so take care of yourself.
I know very well what it is like.
You are doing everything already that a person should do to fill in some of the emptiness knowing that someone you love will not be there but take care of yourself for the ones that are still here.

Here it is; there’s a club. You can’t be in it until you have felt that huge loss…….like that of a parent or a child. Unless a person has felt that loss they cannot begin to comprehend the depth of the pain from that loss; they will say they are sorry…..they will even say they feel your pain…….but unless they have actually been there; they are (sadly) clueless. Loss has been a huge part of my journey. I have buried a son, a father, a former boyfriend and a close cousin. I would never begin to tell you that I understand how you feel right now, but I AM sorry your in the club.

Angelina, James; I really have no idea what is like to loss a mother. I would feel devastated if that happens and I pray to God that he will keep my mum safe. She really fought against cancer but maybe she was suffering too much and it’s better this way. Everything happens for a reason, and I am totally sure that know your mom is finally resting in peace, the peace she needed long time ago. I lost my mother years ago from breast cancer at the age of 56. Even today, I still mourn her death, and wish that I could share all the good things in my life right now. What ease up my wounds, are the beautiful memories of who she was : strong, determined, courageous, fearless, loving, and gentle at the same time. I miss her everyday, but I know, that she is always in my heart and mind, guiding me in my daily life.

My heart goes out to you. My mother just past away from Edometrial Cancer on Jan 13. I was by her side when it happened as well. Though you prepare for this to happen nothing can prepare you for the suddon loss of your mother and friend. The hardest thing for me is to know that my three year old daughter misses out on so much… But I know that I will and you will keep their memeories alive for our children to know there grandmothers. From my family to yours. My heart is with your’s in this time of pain and sorrow. I too have had many heart aches so trust me when I say, the pain will subside eventually and the sorrow and lose will make you grow fonder. My mother didn’t want us kids and my father died when I was young. The hurt was in my heart for many a year, and it’s been over 25 years and I still weep over my lose. My father died, my grandmother died 10 days later and my boyfriend was killed a year later…. so I’ve had my share and I believe I am quite an expert at dealing with lose. I am very fortunate to have a hard working husband and I was blessed with only one child so I try to make every day count. The love between a parent and child is a bond that will never diminish, once it is discovered. Not all people have that. There is many in life that never get to that point, so for those of us that have discovered the unconditional love for one another is a life-long talent. I believe you have that bond for your mother, your family and your children. I also believe you are a strong person and you know what you want in life, and maybe someday I’ll have the pleasure of meeting you. Famous, rich or poor, people are people and everyone’s heart can be hurt and broken. Please try to stay strong but remember to take care of yourself because your heart needs time to heal.
Sharing a part of my heart in your time of need, and sending a smile when you could probably use one.

I would just like to express my condolences to you and your brother and extended family for the loss of your mother to cancer. I have also suffered the loss of family members to cancer and all I can say is that time does heal. The one thing I can say from experience is that we often don’t realize the impact that our loved ones have in our lives until after they are gone. But we can move forward knowing they will always be in our hearts and a part of who we are as individuals. Hi Angelina! I’m a huge fan of you and Brad together; Physical attraction aside, I think your compassion for those less fortunate have brought you two together, and I love that! I’m rooting for you both 100%. Just want to humbly send some ideas… Angie - you’re so naturally beautiful, but often its hidden under too much makeup and hair that is overstyled. I’d love to see your more natural- w/ free flowing hair to frame your face (not pulled up and away from your forehead/face) and “hipper” clothes. I’m thinking Bogata and your Tomb Raider days. If you’re going to pull/tie up your hair , pull it back tightly to frame your face (not loose and poofed up)- think Beowulf! Your look now is often too severe and too old for your age.
