Angelina Jolie Knew Her Son Was in Cambodia
Angelina reveals in an Parade magazine interview that maternal instincts lead her to adopt Maddox. She met him once before she actually knew she would adopt him, “When I met my son Maddox, I went to Cambodia and left feeling I’d left something behind.” She returned the the country on a humanitarian mission, “… I felt, ‘My son’s here.’ It was the strangest feeling. I woke up that morning thinking, ‘They’re going to introduce me to my kid today and I wonder how I’m going to feel.’ And the moment I saw Maddox I knew I was his mother. I can’t explain it.”
Angelina adopted Maddox while she was still married to Billy Bob Thorton but she recieved sole custody of him. Angelina has said that she Maddox’s relationship with Brad help cement their relationship. He actually started calling Brad without their suggestion that he do so.

She sure changed Mad´s life by adopting him and vice versa. Without her he would probably still probably be in some Cambodian orphanage. Now he has a loving mum and dad and five adorable siblings. It´s nice to see how he interacts with his siblings. It´s a shame that BBT wasn´t ready to be a father to him but now he has a loving father in Brad. It doesn´t matter to him that Brad is not his biological dad. After all Angie is not his biological mum but for him they´re his one and only parents. They all love each other very much and that´s all that counts.
