Angelina Jolie wanted to spare Jennifer Anniston’s Feelings?
You remember the big broohaha about Angelina, Jennifer and Brad hosting a pre-Oscar bash. The alleged showdown fizzled when Angelina and Brad didn’t show. Angie’s brother James is weighing in on the matter. He thinks(I emphasize the word THINK) that Angelina chose not to show in order to spare Jennifer’s feeling. Here’s the quote from Grazia magazine:
“Angie is an incredibly strong but also incredibly sensitive woman, and she would always be careful when another woman’s feelings are concerned. She’d go out of her way to make sure there was no situation that would hurt another woman because of her, and I’m talking about a situation like one of Brad’s ex partners or his ex-wife.”
Some people poo poo the notion but I’m not so sure. James and Angelina are very close and I’ll bet he knows her heart pretty well. On the surface, the Brad-Angelina-Jennifer business should be over and done with and maybe it is but you’ve got to remember that this was a very difficult situation for all parties involved and you can’t put a time limit on heeling.
Sheryl Crow says that neither she nor Jen were dumped. That actually makes me feel better about the entire situation. I don’t want to think that Brad broke up his marriage for anyone. In my humble opinion, Brad and Angelina felt a very strong connection but didn’t act on it physically until Brad and Jen were officially separated. It was not an ideal situation. I think all parties did the best they could under the circumstances. I’m sure Jennifer will find her prince charming soon.

Don’t believe a word of it. AJ and BP did their own red carpet/baby announcement at the Spirit Awards, which is more clear and certainly less political HW parade that Oscar night represents. Once again, they called the shot, and gained grace & style in the process!

Oh well, it may sound lame to most, but we JP fans should just take these things in stride and remember that Brad and Angie are very happy together. Besides, I’m sure they knew that if they attended the Oscar event, the possibility of them meeting would just be the focus of the whole evening, and will take away from the main purpose of the event, so like joliefan said: “they called the shot, and gained grace & style in the process!”
As as aside though, Angie and James seem to be truly close, and I’m sure he knows how Angie doesn’t like to comment on the whole B-A-J thing, so could it be words were just put in his mouth?

No offense to anyone , but it always annoys me that whenever pics or stories of the three of them are seen anywhere, they always use a sultry vixen pic for Angie and a blonde girl next door pic for Jenn. Its like they are implying something, there are so many adorable pics of Angie that shows her the sweet loving mother and wife etc. This is not meant towards you KD, I love your site and know you are just using others pics.

I also don’t necessariily believe this. (James story) Both Angelina and Brad have been “quoted” before in fake articles. Just because the magazine, which is a tabloid, says it is from the person, does not mean it is. Not to sound mean, but why would Angelina really care? They had their day out and when was the last time Brad or Angelina went to a party of any kind. Occasional dinners out, but a party–not their current style, especially as they had to go to Texas in a few days.
Why speak to a Spanish tabloid and why is it that quotes from her brother are always from foreign sources. Why not tell a US publication? Remember, Brad’s grandmother has been “quoted” many times, but I doubt if she has ever given any interviews.

just an observation. i remember reading on the internet that brad pitt and angelina jolie were going to officially confirm the pregnancy to a tabloid in exchange for money. i have been looking for that but didn’t find anything. and then, they suddenly show up in the awards in a clingy dress that would be impossible to hide the baby bump. my own opinion is that, that is their way of silencing and not giving credence to that particular rumor and give everybody a free public viewing. just my two cents
