Brad Pitt Says No Affair with Angelina
Brad covers February A-List issue of W magazine. He took the opportunity to set a few things straight about how he and Angelina found love.
Brad maintains that he and Angelina weren’t romantically involved while he was still with Jennifer Aniston:
“What people don’t understand is that we filmed [Mr. & Mrs. Smith] for a year. We were still filming after Jen [Aniston] and I split up. Even then it doesn’t mean that there was some kind of dastardly affair. There wasn’t. I’m very proud of the way that it was handled. It was respectful. [The film] will mean something to our kids. It will, that’s all.”
He thinks Jennifer Annston’s “uncool” Vogue comments were taken out of context:
(According to the December 2008 issue of Vogue, Jennifer thought it was “uncool” for Angelina to talk about her feelings for Brad while they were filming Mr. and Mrs. Smith) :
“Listen, man, Jen is a sweetheart. I think she got dragged into that one, and then there’s a second round to all of that Angie versus Jen. It’s so created.”
He still talks to Jennifer:
“We still check in with each other. She was a big part of my life, and me hers. I don’t see how there cannot be [that]. That’s life, man. That’s life.”
On shooting Angelina breastfeeding for the November 2008 W cover:
“We have fun working together; these things bring you closer. And let me tell you, it’s really sexy to see your loved one through the lens. I went much further [than the cover shot of Jolie breast-feeding]. I didn’t show those.”
There are lots of other great tidbits in the complete article. We rarely see Brad this open. He tends to trust W magazine so I’m sure it helped him relax.

So now all of the fans of Brad and Angie can stop trashing Jen. I have never understood why all of you felt the need to put Jen down anyway.

I personally can’t stand Brad. He’s kept silent for so long and let Angie take the heat for it. The fact remains that he keeps trying to cover up the affair instead of just admitting it - trying to be all “gentlemanly,” but given Angelina’s “bad girl” past the press eats up his comments and continues to sh*t all over Angie and how she stole him from Jen. Brad should have manned-up a long time ago and, frankly, I don’t know why Angie puts up with him.
