Angelina and Maddox took a jaunt to Edwards-Lowell Fur Boutique in Beverly Hills on Sunday afternoon.

Angelina toted a shopping bag full of purchases. Good to see one of the kids out and about. I do believe this is the first glimpse of any Jolie-Pitt youngsters since they’ve hit California. No word on whether Angelina was actually buying fur. I’ve never seen her wear it so I’m going to guess no. Did Maddox just lose that tooth or have I not been paying attention?

Beowulf trounced the competition this past weekend The North American box office raked in $28.1. IMAX 3-D accounted for 40% of that total.
The rest of the top five were: 2. Bee Movie, $14.3 million, 3. American Gangster, $13.2 million,(good movie) 4. Fred Claus, $12 million, 5. Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium, $10 million.

Are you the one they call Beowulf? I can’t believe get that darn commercial out of my head.

I digress. Shocking.

Brad and Angelina worked the red carpet at the European premiere of Beowulf which was held at the Vue cinema in London on Sunday.  Angie wore a nearly sheer top and her favorite Christian Louboutin peep-toes. Brad is still wearing that darn cap. Hasn’t he had time to get his hair situation worked on yet? I do like his ensemble of black pants, black slacks and gray coat. My impression is they left the kids at home. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

Angie, Ray Winstone and Anthony Hopkins are wearing poppys in honor of Remembrance Sunday(United Kingdom) which is the second Sunday of November. The day commemorates the end of the First World War and honors civilian and military sacrifices made during the war. The red poppy is used as a commemorative symbol because poppies bloomed in Belgium battlefields where casualties were buried.

Everyone is making a big deal about Angelina and Brad showing up in a Toyota Prius for the world premier of Beowulf. Brad has actually been a Prius owner for some time. While promoting his Green building project in New Orleans he admitted to owning two of cars.

Back in 2001 Brad suggested that energy issues should be one of George Bush’s top goals.

“We have the technology for electric cars, and we have other power sources. Yes, it would be expensive to make the switch over, but we could, and we would have complete autonomy from our need for oil. We would not have to rape Alaska, and we wouldn’t have to be dependent on those guys over there. In the long term, if we could free ourselves from the dependency of oil, we’d be alright.�?

And that was before Angelina and before gas was averaging 3 bucks a gallon.

People grumble when Brad and Angie take private planes to their next movie locations. I don’t get what they want them to do. Sit in the airport while I stick a camera in their faces? Even the VIP lounge is going to be problematic.

Brad and Angelina go green whenever they can. This isn’t the first green vehicle they’ve been seen driving. They drove a hydrogen powered Audi car to one of the Ocean’s premier.

The Prius is a half hybrid-half gas auto that is slightly less boxy these days. It gets close to 50 miles a gallon. Other celebrity hybrid owners include Cameron Diaz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Carole King, Billy Joel, David Duchovny, Patricia Arquette, Gwyneth Paltrow, Ted Danson, Leonardo DiCaprio(of course), Jeff Goldblum, Billy Crystal, and Harrison Ford.

Brangelina was sexy in outerwear at the world premier of Beowulf. The premiere was held at at the Westwood Village Theatre. Good to see Brad looking much less tried. Maybe he’s had some time to rest.

This morning Angelina Jolie and Anthony Hopkins sat down to talk about their upcoming roles in Beowulf.

Angelina plays the mother of Grendale, a demon-like creature that attacks the army of a local king in this retelling of the epic English poem.

After her son returns from a tragic battle with Beowulf, she seeks revenge. Angelina’s maternal instincts provided inspiration for the role.

“I liked that it was a mother, who would do anything and destroy anything, if somebody hurt her son. So it was, it was the maternal side of me,” Angelina said. “I love that that’s her motivation.”

She also talked about the upcoming holidays and how they incorporate the various cultures. “We celebrate Moon Festival for my boys, who are from Asia,” she said. “We certainly try to celebrate as many of those as we can and bring in all culture.”

Angelina sparkled during a Beowulf press conference. Is it bad that I’m stoked to be wearing a similar outfit tomorrow? I digress.

The movie version of the epic poem done completely in CGI. Angelina’s character, Grendal’s mother is nearly nude and nude, during the movie. That’s what happens when you are a cunning lizard/woman. Clothes are oppositional.

Even though it’s not actually Angie in the movie she admits she was a bit shy after seeing the finished results.

“I got a little shy,�? she said during Saturday’s press conference. “I was really surprised that I felt that exposed.”

It was so startling she called Brad to warn him. “There are certain moments where I felt actually shy – and called home, just to explain that the fun movie that I had done that was digital animation was, in fact, a little different than [what] we expected.”

Angelina actually worked less than three days on the actual film. She was three months pregnant at the time. They’d done the bodymapping bit, where they put electrical probes all over Angelina, prior to her voice work.

Though it was only few days of work, Angelina learned middle English for the part.

Beowulf is an epic poem that details the adventures of a great Scandinavian warrior. It only exists in one manuscript that has survived fire and destruction of artifacts during the reign of Henry VIII.

Beowulf opens on November 16th and also stars Anthony Hopkins, John Malkovich, Ray Winstone and Robin Wright Penn. Tomorrow’s red carpet is going to be packed full of A-listers.

Good news. The Restricted(R rated) Beouwolf trailer from Comic Con has been released.

Angie plays the role of evil giant Grendel’s mother, She appears in the film only wearing a long braid, covered in gold paint and with hooves instead of feet.

It’s not that much different from the trailer we’ve already seen. Still there are a few new things.

She was spotten picking up Maddox who looked a little disgruntled!

Here are some steamy sills from when a digitally enhanced Jolie rises from a pool with droplets of water dripping down her every curve and morphs into a monster.

This is a scene from her new role as a seductive water demon in the big screen adaptation of epic Old English poem Beowulf.
Angie plays the role of evil giant Grendel’s mother, She appears in the film only wearing a long braid, covered in gold paint and with hooves instead of feet.

A 20 minute preview was shown last week at Comic-Con, a trade show in San Diego, California. The film tells the tale of a mighty warrior who slays the demon Grendel and incurs the wrath of its monstrous yet seductive mother.

British actor Ray Winstone stars as Beowulf and Anthony Hopkins takes the role of King Hrothgar, whose hall is under attack by Grendel. The cast also includes Robin Wright Penn and John Malkovich.
Jolie employed a voice coach and an Anglo-Saxon expert to help her with her accent. The reaction to her performance, in which she says some genuine words of Old English, has been mixed.

Some critics say they were confused by the Old English, which was the language of the Anglo-Saxons.
Others described the sound as a “strong Yorkshire accent�? while one said she was “a bit Irish, maybe�?, reports The Times.

Beowulf dates back to around the 7th or the 8th century and is believed to have been composed in East Anglia.
