Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt stepped out tonight for a dinner at Michelangelo (Chez Mamo) restaurant in Antibes, France. The restaurant specializes in pasta, squid and lamb made with the freshest ingredients.

Angelina was lovely in a dark, flowing dress. Brad was casually handsome in a gray shirt and slacks. He’s done something different with his hair. Looks like the gray is gone. He usually does that when it’s time to start filming again. If I’m not mistaken he recently completed a cell phone commercial shoot so maybe that has something to do with it. The couple is expected to walk the carpet tomorrow for the premier of Inglorius Basterds. I can’t wait. They truly the king and queen of the ball.  What’s your favorite Brad-Angelina Cannes moment?

The King and Queen have arrived. After a long day in a Hauge court, Angelina has joined Brad Pitt in Cannes.  The couple was spotted exiting a chauffeur driven SUV Tuesday evening.  Brad and Angie are expected to walk the red carpet for the premier of Brads’ new film Inglorious Basterds tomorrow.

Angelina Jolie continued her activism work today as she attended the trial of a ” Congolese warlord charged with using child soldiers.”

In a statement released by the court, Angelina commended the former child soldiers for traveling to Hague, Netherlands to testify.

“After watching the proceedings from the viewing booth, I stood up and found Thomas Lubanga Dyilo looking at me,” Jolie said. “I imagined how difficult how difficult it must be for all the brave young children who have come to testify against him.”

Thomas Lubanga Dyilo is the former leader and founder of the Union of Congolese Patriots. He stands accused of forcing children to serve as soldiers during tribal conflicts in 2002-2003. The prosecution alleges that the group’s militia abducted “children as young as 11″ and took “them to military training camps where they were beaten and drugged. The girls among them were allegedly used as sex slaves.” Lubanga Dyilo is has denied all chargers

“Using children in conflict is a heinous crime and destroys the very fabric of a society,” she added.

Lubanga is the founder of the Union of Congolese Patriots political movement and its armed wing. He stands accused of forcing children to serve as soldiers during tribal conflicts in 2002-2003. This is the first international trial that focuses solely on the victimization of children.

In other news, Brad and his Brother Doug Pitt are doing their part to make the world a better place. The brother’s donated $200,000 to Drury University’s O’Reilly Family Event Center to fund the center’s Leadership in Environmental Energy and Design Gold certification. It’ll be the first of it’s kind in the nations. The brothers made the donation in their father’s name.

Ignore all the rumors.  Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will hit the Cannes red carpet together on May 20th at the screening of Brad’s latest film Inglourious Basterds.   The family will stay in the famous Eden Roc at Cap d’Antibes. It’s the same hotel they stayed at least year and the year before. They must have uber security. Former President Bill Clinton and a host of other celebs will call it home during the festival.

Luxurious amenities include a cliff top swimming pool,  sea front rooms, four star French restaurant, in house spa and children’s area where little guests are pampered.

And can you really blame them?  The local ladies of Oyster Bay on the North Shore of Long Island are primping in case they run into Papa Pitt.   According to People magazine, local women are known for high dollar but not over the top attire.   With Brad, in town they’ve taken it up several notches.

“They are off the charts excited and everyone is dolled up, ” one resident told People.  “The moms are trying to look a little bit more polished. Instead of schlepping in sweat pants and messy hair, now they wear designer jeans and high heels, which they never wear. Usually it’s Tod’s or Gucci loafers. Everyone is putting a little more effort. Let’s face it – he’s a handsome guy.”

Brads’ really enjoying his time time with the kids.  He’s even read to Shiloh’s class.  The moms at school are certainly enjoying his presence  “At school, they think they are going to bump into him,” another local said.  “Brad sits in the back of the classroom a lot. He is very unassuming and very sweet and nice.”

He’s added to the excitement by dining out with good pal George Clooney at a local eatery.  “I heard a woman screaming at Stop & Shop because the clerk was telling her George Clooney was at the Breakers,” said another source. “It startled me because she shrieked so loud. Then, a few women said they were going to go down there and see if they could run into Clooney.”

I’m glad the family has been able to have some down to earth time in what sounds like a great locale.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have dazzled the residents of  Long Island.  The couple as was spotted at the local Stop & Shop, Dad Brad took the boys to Dunkin Donuts and they’ve even stopped in at the local CVS.

“When you talk to someone who has met them they’re kind of glowing,” Oyster Bay Town Supervisor John Venditto told People magazine. “People love saying they saw them. They feel something very special happened to them.”

Venditto added had that the couple has left a good impression with residents, “The reaction across the board seems to be, ‘Wow, they’re very nice people.’ It seems that people like them and like having them here.”

Stop & Shop manager Katherine Pastore was also dazzled by the family. “They looked out of place because they were so beautiful,” Pastore said. “They looked like they were airbrushed when they were walking. I went up to Brad and asked if he needed help and he said, ‘No thanks.’ I was looking at him but I don’t really remember it – it was like a dream.”

“They were very attentive with their kids. Brad was rubbing Zahara’s back and Angelina was comforting Shiloh when she got a little upset. It was sweet,” Pastore added.

Angelina Jolie has designed a necklace for a charity auction set for May 28. Jewelry by Angelina and other stars “will be previewed at auction house Bonhams in New Bond Street, London next Tuesday.” The pieces will be auctioned off in United States. Proceeds from Angelina’s jewelry will be split between the Maddox Jolie Pitt Project and the Prince’s (Charles) Trust.  Stars For A Cause is organizing the event.  A special edition Golden Globe poster signed by Brad Pitt will also be auctioned off for the MJP project as well

The “one-of-a-kind jewelry and footwear will be showcased at gala preview events in New York and Los Angeles hosted by Bonhams & Butterfields.”

Other celebrity designers Anne Hathaway, Victoria Beckham, Kate Winslet, Jennifer Lopez, Penelope Cruz and Viola Davis.

Looks like those rumors we heard a few months ago may be true.  Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s  former bodyguard  is looking  for a book deal.   The New York Daily  News’ Rush and Malloy recently received “a proposal for a memoir and a TV show, both offering [Mickey]Brett’s first-person account of his years guarding the likes of Sandra Bullock, Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman, Sly Stallone and Richard Gere.”

The proposal painted Angelina in a good light and Brad in a not-so-good-light.

Mickey has worked for Angelina since 2001, but disappeared at some point last year. The Daily News called the family’s  American lawyer Marty Singer. Of course, Singer said Mickey was bound by confidentially.  He also made some very interesting allegations. Singer says that Big Mickey” is a liar, a pathological one in fact.

Mickey allegedly lied to US immigration which kept him from entering the country. He also my have lied to Brad and Angie about having served as a British SAS commando.  Singer says he never served in the military.

Brett was arrested twice in 2006, once for allegedly assaulting a restaurant owner in Namibia and a second time for after he was accused of  hurling racial insults to parents picking up in their kids in India while Angelina shot A Mighty Heart.

Singer says Brett’s  been convicted of 11 crimes.   Brad and Angie repeatedly came to his defense but even his staunchest supporters “began to have doubts”.

As for his book and TV proposals, Singer said Brett was bound by a confidentiality agreement. According to Singer, Brett has now stated that he’d never signed off on the pitches and that many of the yarns attributed to him were fabricated by his ghost writer.

In response,  Brett’s attorney said, “Our client disputes what has apparently been said by Mr. Singer, but is not in a position to comment further at this stage.”

The ghost writers says that everything he wrote, he got from Big Mickey himself. “Mickey was definitely going to consider a book or TV deal if the offer was good enough,” Robert McGibbon said. McGibbon also said there’s not going to be any book now.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are supporters of Global Action for Children. In 2006, the Joli-Pitt Foundation gave GAC $1 million. They followed up with a $100,000 contribution late last year. The advocacy and policy group is using Madonna’s failed Malawi adoption to bring attention to orphans and marginalized children all over the world.

See they are just ordinary folks. They win Oscars, make millions of dollars a year and go grocery shopping with the family. Angelina and Brad went grocery shopping with Zahara and Shiloh Saturday afternoon. According to Us Magazine, the family shopped for about 30 minutes at the Stop and Shop in Oyster Bay, New York.

“They were here for 30 minutes and left,” said grocery story employee Monira Ahmed.

“The were very friendly,” added Ahmed. “They gave autographs and allowed people to take pictures of them inside…very nice.” Brad pushed the grocery cart and his now famous newsboy cap.

I went to the East Coast chains website and poked around. Looks like strawberries are on sale for $2.99 and you can nab 10 liters of Canada Dry for $10. I don’t supposed sales matter that much to them as this point. Check out the high quality photos below.  I really dig Shiloh’s sparkly shoes.

I’m a fan.  I’m a huge fan but this person has topped me.  Or maybe he or she is trying to capitalize on the slumping housing market.  An Oklahoma City artist has created a home based on the lifestyle and principles of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.

Named “The Brangelina,” the house capitalizes on the image of Pitt and Jolie with the use of proverbs, tattoos and quotes reflecting their beliefs, stenciled all over its 4,000 sq. ft. structure. The $500,000 home, by the artist known as Xvala, is expected to go on sale this summer, announced Buddy Haydel, of Haydel & Associates, of Oklahoma City.

The home’s roof is covered in multi colored smiling hearts with hopes that the “eventual occupants pursue happiness to their heart’s content.”

“We’re celebrating a relationship that has captured the imagination of the whole world,” said spokesman Buddy Haydel. “People will be interested in this because of their bond.”

“If you’re going to make art, it better be something people can live with, and if it’s brilliant it will be something people can’t live without, like a place to call home,” Xvala said.

Owners of The Brangelina must agree to honorary ownership for Brad and Angelina. That means if Brad and Angelina show up during a trip to visit Brad’s family the owner has to agree to let them stay. (Weird I know.)

“We are encouraging the idea that every neighborhood in America is potentially a home to our superstars, keeping celebrities and regular people connected in spirit,” said Xvala.

The four bedroom home has three and a half baths, formal dining, study, family living room and media room. It’s open to the public Friday April 22nd at 10:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily until April 30th.

We recently reported rumors that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt had been spotted in the Philippines. Soon another series of rumors were flying that the family wanted to adopt a child from the Philippines after they’d tried to adopt from Burma but failed. Now, the  Philippine Daily Inquirer and local authorities have squashed both stories.

“I have checked with all our offices coordinating VIP arrivals as well as with the Bureau of Immigration. Sorry to disappoint the fans, but they did not come to the Philippines,” Airport Authority general manager Alfonso Cusi told the the Inquirer.

Cusi said there’s no way Brad and Angelina could have made it into the country without government officials knowing.

“It should have been coordinated with us because there are matters like security precautions, that have to be undertaken for such a visit,” he said.

So much for that story. Did you but the Philippine’s story?

Maybe you’re a new fan or maybe you’re a seasoned fan who needs to brush up on your Angelina Jolie knowledge. Whatever the case, here are what I consider the essential facts for every Angelina Jolie fan worth their salt.

• Angelina’s mom, Marcheline Bertrand, died in January of 2007 after a long battle ovarion cancer.
• Angelina met  Brad Pitt on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith. They’ve denied having an affair while Brad was still with his wife Jennifer Anniston.
• She and Brad have six children, Maddox Cheyenne(adopted from Cambodia), Zahara Marley(adopted from Ethiopia), Shiloh Nouvel, Pax Thien(adopted from Vietnam) and twins Knox Léon and Vivienne Marcheline.
• All of the children have the surname Jolie-Pitt.
  
• All the money from photos of the kids when they were first adopted or born has gone to charity.
• Angelina and Brad take turns working so that one person will be home with the kids.

Rumors are floating around Twitter that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are in the Philippines.  I did a little research and here’s what I found out.   Philstar.com says they’ve had a reliable source confirm that the the couple is in the island nation.

Andy Bautista, CEO of the chain that owns the Shangri-La(the hotel where the couple is reputed to be staying) , said, “I don’t think it is true.” He would not completely deny the story though.

Executives at the actual property would only say that the Shangri-La is fully booked and no one is booked using the names Angelina Jolie or Brad Pitt.

“But we will surely welcome them if they showed up,” the executive said. They added that the couple might be suing a fake name. (Ya think?)

I’ve got not idea if Brad or Angelina are in the Philippines. Last we knew Angelina was in New York working on Salt and Brad was headed to Cannes.

And the rumors keep coming. In this edition, of the Rumor Round Up we look at a two new rumors that are floating around about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Oh what fun.

Rumor #1
Brad gave Angelina a marriage ultimatum.
This one started with OK! magazine. Instead of buying into all the they’re-breaking-up-rumors OK!’s taking a completely different route. The tabloid insists that Brad’s is going to call it quits if Angelina won’t marry him.

“Brad’s told her, ‘Marry me, or it’s over.’” an “insider” told the magazine.  Apparently Brad’s  demanding a  wedding because he’s tired of being a single dad while Angelina films Salt. “Their relationship is so out of kilter, he believes marriage is the only thing that will bring it back around,” said the source.

The tab also says we should expect a New Orleans wedding after Salt wraps.

Verdict: OK! isn’t know it’s accuracy so don’t bet on it.

Rumor #1
Angelina snapped on Brad for drinking too much and ignoring the kids.
The rumor originated with Grazia magazine and perpetuated by  the UK Mail. They say that Angelina came home from a long day of shooting and found Brad passed out from drinking while the nannies tended to the kids.

A “friend” of Angelina’s told Grazi that:  “Angelina was completely and utterly exhausted, so when she came home after a hard day’s work and found Brad had apparently done nothing all day except watch DVDs, she was livid.”   The Mail’s site maintains that Angie’s anger was fueled by her liquid detox diet.
