Angelina Jolie Watch

Angie was spotted yesterday looking lovely in yellow outside of Marino Ristorante in Beverly Hills. I do love her in bright colors. According to TMZ, she spent five hours in the restaurant. Either she was extremely hungry or it was a business meeting. See the video below

According to TMZ, Pax’s adoption is official. The couple appeared before an L.A. County Children’s Court in Monterey Park, Calif yesterday and finalized Pax’s adoption. I’m not sure how exactly this works.

We know that Angie had to adopt Pax from Vietnam alone because she and Brad aren’t married. Vietnam doesn’t allow domestic partners to adopt. I don’t remember if they frown on single men adopting alone or totally forbid.

The adoption had to first be approved in Vietnam and then cleared in the United States. Angie and Brad’s people only say that the adoption is final. I don’t know what that means exactly.

I’m just not sure where Brad is in the process. Did he officially adopt Pax yesterday? Anyone know?

Whatever the case, Congratulations to Pax and the entire Jolie-Pitt family.

The family is really enjoying themselves these days. Angelina took big boy Maddox to see the Spiderwick Chronicles at the Arclight Theatre on Sunset Boulevard yesterday.

The movie “follows the adventures of Simon, Mallory, and Jared Grace as they discover a field guide to faeiries and battle goblins and other magical creatures.” The film stars Freddie Highmore, Nick Nolte, Martin Short and Seth Rogen and is based on a series of children’s books by Holly Black and Tony DiTerlizzi.

Maddox’s shirt comes from Wes and Willy. According to Celebrity Baby Blog, the style is no longer available. I wonder how long it will take to reissue the design now that Maddox is sporting it. Can’t wait to see where the family turns up next. Anywhere care to take a guess?

Angelina and Brad took the kids to Mammoth Lakes, Calif on Friday. The entire family took the trip but only Pax and Maddox are in these pics. Pax tried his hands at skiing while Maddox rocked the snowboard. The kids are safely suited up in helmets and warm clothing.

I checked out the Mammoth Lakes site and they bill themselves as “California’s premier winter resort” where you can ski, snowshoe, sled and snowboard. The town also has an ice rink and some lovely real estate.

The Jolie-Pitts can certainly afford a cold weather home and these homes look fairly reasonable especially for a resort town. It’s good to see the family taking have some fun. Neither Brad or Angelina appears to be working right now. They really do make the most of family time.

First thing. These pictures are blurry. It’s not your screen. But hey, they are recent pictures of the family so I’ll take them.

Second thing. These photos were actually taken on Friday so I don’t know if this was just a day trip of if the family is still in Santa Barbara. Time will tell.

And now for the pictures. Looks like Zee is sucking on that thumb and has some uber cute pink luggage. Mad is decked out in camouflage(he does love it) and sunglasses. Pax has on a white sweatshirt and blue jeans-I think. Shiloh is being carried by Dad. Randi has some pics of her actually walking. It’s hard to believe she’s 20 months old. Angelina is decked out in a thick jacket so we can’t see the baby bumb(untill I hear otherwise it’s a baby bump).

On to the pics.

Police arrested a “freelance reporter” for trespassing at Brad’s Hollywood home. Police snagged Eric Mitchell, 25, on a “private person’s arrest” after a housekeeper spied him blocking the driveway while asking,”Where’s Brad Pitt’s house?” I’m not sure what a private person’s arrest means but the housekeeper determined if charges were pressed. It’s not known how the “reporter” gained entry to the gated community. Mitchell will be released on bail and arraigned later. Thankfully Brad, Angie and the kids were not at home during the incident.

Kudos to the housekeeper who decided to press charges. Subtly wasn’t the guys strong suit apparently.  Blocking a driveway and yelling will get you noticed.  If anyone knows what a private person’s arrest is please let us know. I wonder if it’s anything like a citizens arrest.

Last night Brad and Angie had a little couple time at Georgio Baldi restaurant in Santa Monica, Calif. The Italian restaurant is “is a family managed restaurant that has been serving the Los Angeles area for over fifteen years. Our rules are: simplicity, authenticity, the love for tradition, and full respect for our customers.”

It’s good that Mom and Dad were able to have some alone time. When parents are able to stay connected it’s good for the entire family.

Shots were fired on November 27th near one of Brad and Angelina’s California homes. At approximately 4 a.m., shots rang out only 25 feet from the Jolie-Pitts’ Los Feliz home. Gunshots struck a camper used by the family’s security team and the Range Rover of another homeowner.

Neighbor John Martinez said, “It was crazy. If anybody had been in the car, he or she could’ve been killed.�? (I’m not sure if he was talking about the Jolie-Pitt vehicle or the Range Rover.)

One of the family’s bodyguards, identified only as Brett, was was seen inspecting damages on November 29th. When questioned about the incident he said, “I’m doing fine, but I don’t want to talk about this.”

According Brad’s rep, the family was not the target of the shooting.

Police officers arrived at the scene a few minutes after the shooting. Subsequent days saw unmarked police cars patrolling the perimeter of the Jolie-Pitt residence. Two heavily tinted SUVs were posted at the main gate of the sprawling residence.

Thank God everyone is safe and sound. Hopefully they were able to relax some while in New Orleans.

Angelina and Maddox took a jaunt to Edwards-Lowell Fur Boutique in Beverly Hills on Sunday afternoon.

Angelina toted a shopping bag full of purchases. Good to see one of the kids out and about. I do believe this is the first glimpse of any Jolie-Pitt youngsters since they’ve hit California. No word on whether Angelina was actually buying fur. I’ve never seen her wear it so I’m going to guess no. Did Maddox just lose that tooth or have I not been paying attention?

Beowulf trounced the competition this past weekend The North American box office raked in $28.1. IMAX 3-D accounted for 40% of that total.
The rest of the top five were: 2. Bee Movie, $14.3 million, 3. American Gangster, $13.2 million,(good movie) 4. Fred Claus, $12 million, 5. Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium, $10 million.

Angelina Jolie didn’t have much down time(actually she didn’t have any downtime) before she was back on the streets of Los Angeles working on The Changeling. Yesterday Angelina filmed various rainy day scenes. I’m sure the kids were glad to see Mom and Dad back in town.

Tuesday Pax got to visit mom on The Changeling set. Wow. He’s really growing up, trendy hair and all. I wonder what the other kids are up to. This is our very first glimpse of a Jolie-Pitt tyke since they arrived in California. Good for Angelina and Brad. Way to dodge the press. I’m sure the kids needed a break after the madhouse that was New York.

Brangelina was sexy in outerwear at the world premier of Beowulf. The premiere was held at at the Westwood Village Theatre. Good to see Brad looking much less tried. Maybe he’s had some time to rest.

We’ve got a nice video of Angelina at the Sante Fe train station in San Bernadino. Not sure when this video was taken but she’s been at that train station several days this week. You’ll notice some of the crew wearing face masks to protect themselves from poor air quality caused by the fires raging in Southern California. You can hear the photogs clicking away and being obnoxious to one another. I’d probably be pretty obnoxious myself if I got a chance to see Angelina up close. Of course I’d only want the pics just for myself and to share with you guys.

Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe Railway built San Bernardino’s first permanent train depot in 1886 to meet the growing number of rail passengers and to house its Los Angeles Division administrative and freight offices. This two-and-a-half-story wooden structure and other railway property were completely destroyed by a fire that started at 11 p.m. on November 16, 1916. The building burned in only an hour and 20 minutes. Heat melted the huge iron doors of the depot’s supposedly fire-proof vault, and 30 years of railway records went up in flames.

Shortly thereafter, city leaders asked the railway to design and build an impressive new depot that would befit the city image as the “gateway to southern California.�? The resulting $800,000 depot, designed by company architect W.A. Mohr, was the largest west of the Mississippi. Upon its opening on July 15, 1918, the San Bernardino Daily Sun proclaimed “ Santa Fe’s station to be the finest in the west,�? and “a credit to San Bernardino for showing the importance of the Gate City as a transportation center.�?

Hopefully Jolie-Pitts are staying safe and soaking up some of the areas history.
