I actually thought this bit of gossip was complete caca until I saw it on the People website. Looks like Brad Pitt does indeed use baby wipes to freshen up when he doesn’t have time for a shower. According to Inglorious Basterds co-star Eli Roth, Brad caught a whiff of him while they were filming and suggested the stop gap measure.

“After a scene, Brad had to get next to me for a close-up shot, and he said, ‘Damn, you’re ripe,’ ” Roth said. “I said, ‘I didn’t have time to shower.’ He said, ‘Baby wipes, man, baby wipes.’ ”

“I got six kids. All you’ve got to do is just take them, a couple quick wipes under the pits.” Brad added, “Man, I’m getting [peed] on all day. I don’t have time to take a shower.”

Roth put the advice to good use, “I thought that was the greatest tip. My character is called the Bear Jew. If I ever started to smell like a bear, I would just use a couple baby wipes under the armpits, and it made it safe for everyone else to act around me.”

Roth added that the cast was a little shy around the mega star during the first day of filming but they were surprised by how easy going Brad is.

“He’s such a funny guy. He has a great sense of humor, and he’s so into it. He’s really there to have a great time. Now, he’s at the point in his career where he’s the biggest movie star in the world, he can do whatever he wants, so when he’s there, he just wants to have a great time.”

Roth also got to know Angelina some and says she’s “is awesome, totally cool.”

Breathtaking.  Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are the height of Hollywood Glamour at this year’s Cannes Film Festival at Palais Des Festivals.  Brad and Angie light up the red carpet for the world premier of Inglorius Bassterds. Angelina was stunning in an almost flesh colored gown that with a thigh high slit while Brad wore a classic tux with a fun pocket square.  I’d bet he’s wearing Tom Ford Tux . (Is it my imagination or has Angie put on a few pounds?  She’s certainly is looking healthier.)

According to the Times UK, Brad  was “keen to prove his affection for Angelina, bucked tradition and left the cast behind to go back for his partner” during red carpet cast photos.

So much for the rumors about a split. So much rumors about an eating disorder. On to the fabulousness.

And we’re off. Brad Pitt made his first official Cannes appearance at the Inglorius Basterds press this morning French time.

Brad said he agreed to the film after a little arm twisting by direct Quentin Tarantino who was six weeks away from filming and had not cast the lead.

“Quentin came to visit some time at the end of the summer, we talked about back story, we talked about movies. I get up the next morning and see five empty bottles of wine right on the floor. Five. And something that resembles a smoking apparatus - I don’t know what that was about - and apparently I had agreed to do this film,” Brad said during the press conference.

In interview with the Today show,  he talked about staying home with the kids while Angelina works.

He said: ‘Right now, Angie has been working and I’ve got to be home a lot with the kids. Er… let me be a cliche. It’s really rewarding.”

New photos have surfaced of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have dinning yesterday in France.  The couple didn’t dine alone but were actually attending an Inglorious Basterds cast dinner.  The dinner party included director Quentin Tarantino, Brad’s co-star Diane Kruger, and her significant other Joshua Jackson. Angelina’s long dress has been identified as an animal print Salvatore Ferragamo. Stay tuned for new picks of Brad a today’s photocall.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt stepped out tonight for a dinner at Michelangelo (Chez Mamo) restaurant in Antibes, France. The restaurant specializes in pasta, squid and lamb made with the freshest ingredients.

Angelina was lovely in a dark, flowing dress. Brad was casually handsome in a gray shirt and slacks. He’s done something different with his hair. Looks like the gray is gone. He usually does that when it’s time to start filming again. If I’m not mistaken he recently completed a cell phone commercial shoot so maybe that has something to do with it. The couple is expected to walk the carpet tomorrow for the premier of Inglorius Basterds. I can’t wait. They truly the king and queen of the ball.  What’s your favorite Brad-Angelina Cannes moment?

The King and Queen have arrived. After a long day in a Hauge court, Angelina has joined Brad Pitt in Cannes.  The couple was spotted exiting a chauffeur driven SUV Tuesday evening.  Brad and Angie are expected to walk the red carpet for the premier of Brads’ new film Inglorious Basterds tomorrow.

Ignore all the rumors.  Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will hit the Cannes red carpet together on May 20th at the screening of Brad’s latest film Inglourious Basterds.   The family will stay in the famous Eden Roc at Cap d’Antibes. It’s the same hotel they stayed at least year and the year before. They must have uber security. Former President Bill Clinton and a host of other celebs will call it home during the festival.

Luxurious amenities include a cliff top swimming pool,  sea front rooms, four star French restaurant, in house spa and children’s area where little guests are pampered.

Okay yesterday they were in New Orleans and couple of days before that they were in New York and few days before that they were Germany and now they’ve returned to France.  Brad and Angie touched down at the Nice airport today with all six kids.  Brad and Angelina will soon return to Germany for Brad’s Inglorious Bastards’ shoot. Brad is southern character will be one of the only English speaking rolls in the film.

According to IMDB, to Angie is next slated to star in The Mercenary: Love and Honor. Angelina plays Catherine the Great who’s been asked “to provide twenty thousand Russian soldiers to help put down the resistance in America.” An American emissary is sent to squash the deal and the two fall in love. The moveis based on Love and Honor by Randall Wallace.

Even a massive French estate with round the clock security isn’t giving Angelina and Brad breathing room. Yesterday, the family’s security found camouflaged paparazzi trespassing on the chateau’s grounds. Of course both sides give widely different stories.

Freelance photographer Luc Goursolas said he broke a guard’s finger and bit another until he bled, and that they hit him with a walkie-talkie, punched and kicked him, leaving a head wound that required three stitches.

“I was pouring blood. I threw myself at them, put blood all over them, and told them that I had HIV so they would stop hitting me,” Goursolas told The Associated Press on Friday.

Tony Webb, head of security at the Miraval estate, said Goursolas went “berserk” without provocation and denied that his guards punched the photographer.

Webb says the family may have to move because for the media frenzy. “If they get invasion of their privacy like this then they would have no option, and they would have to go somewhere where the laws are upheld a bit better,” Webb said.

Complaints were filed all around though it appears that local police aren’t taking the situation seriously.
Police spokesperson Capt. Olivia Poupot said, “This kind of thing is really not the type of problem that interests us,” she said. “There are, in my opinion, far more important things than paparazzi taking photos of a glamour couple.”

I get Capt Olivia’s point of view. Angelina and Brad have resources and a healthy happy family. In her opinion, they chose this life and so thems the breaks. To a certain extent she’s right. Angelina and Brad have chosen a profession that brings attention to themselves and their family. I think they completely understand that. What they don’t understand is someone coming sitting for hours, in camouflage to get pictures of their premature children. These photogs aren’t murderers and they shouldn’t be treated as such but they should be held accountable.

Mayor Christian Estrosi chatted with Nice-Matin newspaper after visiting Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in their hospital room. During the visit Brad repeated over and over again that he was “the happiest father ever.” According to the mayor, Brad was also extremely pleased with the care Angie had received. “[Brad] told me we chose one of the best hospitals in the world, one of the best doctors, one of the best medical teams. And also the most beautiful bay in the world.�?

Estorsi said that the babies spent Saturday night in Angie’s room and she(and probably Bad as well) took care of them herself.

The French newspaper has scooped the international press because that’s how Brad and Angie wanted it. “It was Brad Pitt who chose to give the scoop to Nice-Matin,” said assistant editor-in-chief Olivier Biscaye. “He said to the doctor that the local media should be the first informed about the birth.”

There was lots of bad information going on but the the local paper never fell for it. They were even given heads when 30 minutes before Angelina was wheeled into the delivery room.  Soon after the delivery Dr. Micheal Sussman gave them the names and sexes of the twins. They were even the first to report that the delivery date was moved up 10 days for Angelina’s comfort.

As far as exclusive photo rights goes, the paper is reporting that a US publication will get the exclusive rights for $11 million.  Of course all the proceeds are going to charity.  I wonder how long it will be before the babies are ready for the their photos.

Dr. Michael Sussman(on the left) shared a bit with fans outside of the hospital today. According Dr. Sussman, Brad cut the chord and was with Angie during the entire delivery. “He was my assistant!” Dr. Sussmann joked. Pictured above are Knox’s  and Vivienne’s birth certificate being held by Nice’s mayor Christian Estrosi.

Brad was a cool customer during the delivery.
“He was … perfectly calm, totally determined, very pleased to be at the birth of his children, very moved and very emotional,” said Sussmann.

He didn’t reveal when Angie would leave the hospital.
“When will Jolie and the babies leave the hospital? “I don’t know,” he said. “She will stay for a few days. You know, in Europe it isn’t like in the United States, where the patients go home after three days. They will stay a bit longer until everything is okay.”

Dr. Sussman added that all are well.
“The babies are fine. The babies are with the mother and father and they are fine.”

We’ve also got a closeup of Knox’s birth certificate. Looks like Brad’s signed the bottom.

Finally confirmed. Angelina has given birth to a boy and a girl via C-section. Angelina gave birth to Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline on Saturday night at the Santa Maria clinic of the Lenval Foundation Hospital in Nice. Knox came in at 5.03 lbs, and weighed Vivienne 5 lbs. (That’s pretty healthy for twins) Angelina’s doc Dr. Michel Sussmann told the AP that “Everything is going well. The mother, the babies, the father are doing marvelously well.” Brad was there during the operation which was moved up for medical reasons. Dr. Sussman didn’t explain what those reasons were. Angie and the twins are expected to be in the hospital for at least a few days.

Marcheline is of course named for for Angie’s late mother. Knox was the middle of name of Brad’s maternal grandfather The family has already snapped any related domain names for the twins. The extensive list is below. Congrats to the family!!!!

The mayor is thrilled that Angelina and Brad have chosen his city for the babies birth so he’s given them honorary citizenship. “That is for the citizens of Nice a very great honor and a great satisfaction,” mayor Christian Estrosi said. “We are very happy for this choice of Mrs. Angelina Jolie and Mr. Brad Pitt and I want to say to them that I wish a lot of joy to them and the babies, and great success for all of their lives.” (We know Angelina isn’t exactly a Mrs. but we get the point.)

“All their lives they will be Nicois and all their life they will be able to come to Nice and we will receive them with great honor,” the mayor said. This is quite an honor for the unborn babies.

Being born in France doesn’t automatically give you citizenship. The twins will have the option of “obtaining French citizenship when they turn 18 as long as France has been their primary residence for at least 5 years after age 11.”

Star Magazine reports that Angie is becoming increasingly worried as the birth approaches. (What mother isn’t worried about her babies?) According to a nurse at Angie’s hospital,  Angelina is more worried about the smaller twin.

“[Twins] are never born with identical weights and sometimes one is considerably larger than the other,” Nurse Marie Lacroix told the Star.

If this woman is actually a nurse at the hospital won’t she be fired for violating patient confidentiality?  On the other hand, tabloid reporters often trick staff into revealing things.   And other times they just make it up.
