Angelina Jolie Watch

Brad Pitt managed to sneak out of town to the Berlin premiere of Inglourious Basterds. According to OK!, Brad gave the slip to the hoard of photographers that hang out in front the family’s California home. Apparently Brad slipped out of of his house by “lying in the back of a staffer’s car” while a shiny new motorcycle was delivered to his home. The paps were busy snapping photos of the bike while Brad was whisked to the airport.

Dad Brad is expected to be back in the United States by tomorrow.

As usual, he spent “loads of time signing autographs” for the fans.

In the first year of the German occupation of France, Shosanna Dreyfus (Mélanie Laurent) witnesses the execution of her family at the hand of Nazi Colonel Hans Landa (Christoph Waltz). Shosanna narrowly escapes and flees to Paris where she forges a new identity as the owner and operator of a cinema.

Elsewhere in Europe, Lieutenant Aldo Raine (Pitt) organizes a group of Jewish American soldiers to perform swift, shocking acts of retribution. Later known to their enemy as “the basterds,” Raine’s squad joins German actress and undercover agent Bridget von Hammersmark (Kruger) on a mission to take down the leaders of the Third Reich. Fates converge under a cinema marquis, where Shosanna is poised to carry out a revenge plan of her own….

The next premier is set for Hollywood on Aug. 10. The wide release date is August 21.

I didn’t expect them to hit the red carpet so soon but I must admit I’m pretty pleased about it. Angelina and Brad unveiled the much nominated The Curious Case Benjamin Button for their German fans on Monday (January 19).  Angie wore a white Akris pantsuit, Asprey jewels and Stuart Weitzman shoes. Brad is wearing his old favorite, Tom Ford.  Enjoy the pics.

I’m not really loving Angie’s upsweep.  It thinks it’s too heavy for her slender face.  Her hair looks best loose or pulled tightly into a updo or ponytail, similar to her look at Critic’s Choice Awards earlier this month. I do enjoy seeing her try out the lighter colors.  They help accent her curves.  She’s a bit heavier than she was before the twins were born but definately not her perfect weight.  I liked her Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

After spending nearly five months nesting in France, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have moved on to Germany.  According to numerous reports, the family will stay in Germany for ninety days while Brad films Quentin Tarantino’s Inglorious Bastards. The family is believed to be renting Palais Parkschloss on Wannsee Lake. The 30,000 sqaure foot home features a helicopter pad, a dock and a 14 member security team.

It is not clear if Jolie and Pitt – who signed a longterm lease on their French estate – have purchased the property or are simply renting.

When the family arrived last week, witnesses spotted Brad toting the kids from a private plane. “Brad lifted the kids out of the plane and brought them to the transporter,” an eyewitness told People Magazine. “I saw him lift out Shiloh and Zahara.”
