Angelina Jolie Watch

Um. Not the Pagan kind or the Halloween kind with the pointy hat either… we’re talking about the kind that you can usually interchange the w for a b and still have an accurate description of the person.

US Magazine reports that a source close to Jennifer Aniston said “She is so torn-up about the fact that Brad was able to move on and has a perfect family life with that witch.�?. Hmmm, if that’s to be believed, then apparently Jen is still having a hard time enduring Brad’s relatively public relationship with Angelina. I hope for everyone involved that Jen has either already moved on (every now and then a source gets it wrong, go figure!) or will move on shortly. Her original pain is starting to look a wee bit whiny.

At least the perfect family is happy. Or so we hope.

I know I’ve already covered this once, but since I’ve just gotten the pic of the cover of US I have to mention it again. Am I the only one who doesn’t understand WHY Jolie and Aniston would WANT to get together to chit chat?

I can only hope that the recent talk of Angelina and Jennifer Aniston getting together is just a publicity stunt to make Angie look even more sweet, innocent, do-gooderish and motherly in the public eye and to try and further insist (READ: shove down our throats) that Angie and Brad weren’t getting their groove on when Brad and Jen were still a couple.

But isn’t it a little late for that? Does anyone still care? Seriously, hasn’t enough time has gone by that it doesn’t matter one way or the other anymore? Um, lessee, 9 months of baby-bump and now little Shiloh is just under 7 months… so we can just start the time-line then. 16 months ago. Heck, that’s enough time for Britney Spears to produce almost 2 entire offspring.

My vote? I really don’t care if they ever talk. In fact the idea of them splitting a wonderful low-fat low-calorie meal just sparks Jerry Springer thoughts in my wee little head.

In a recent interview of Angelina by Vogue Magazine, Angelina states that she has in fact met Jennifer Aniston briefly. They’ve shaken hands and said hello but nothing more. As to an actual sit-down conversation with Aniston, AJ says “That would be her decision [for a long sit-down], and I would welcome it.”.

I love Angelina, but is it just me or is she just trying to look like the better person? Seriously, what ex of your current flame have you ever been willing to meet in real life? Let alone a calm dignified lunch over cobb salad and Pellegrino?

Vogue Magazine spoke with Angelina Jolie for their January edition about her relationship with Brad Pitt. According to Angelina (although not pushed by the interviewer on the subject) she stated that she and Brad did not begin their relationship before the official breakup of Pitt and Jennifer Aniston. In fact, Angelina stated that she was very “content�? as a single mom and was not looking for a committed relationship with anyone, particularly her married costar in “Smith�?. She states that during filming, she and Pitt became “very good friends�? and the friendship continued after the movie wrapped up. Pitt/Aniston announced they were breaking up in early 2005, and Angelina states, “And then life developed in a way where we could be together, where it felt like something we would do, we should do.”

I believe her. I have a feeling that after Billy-Bob cheated that she was hurt enough to not do that to someone else. Thoughts?
