Angelina Jolie has come under fire for wearing what is dubbed as ’semi-blackface’ to play the role of Marianne Pearl in the film ‘A Mighty Heart.’ E! Online’s ‘Reel Girl’ Caroline Kepnes blasts Jolie and her hubby Brad Pitt and ‘Plan B productions in a scathing critique of the decision to allow Jolie to transform her look sop much to play Pearl. The film is a biopic about slain journalist Daniel Pearl and his dignified widow, Marianne Pearl.

Every time I see Angelina Jolie in a shot from A Mighty Heart, with her pin curls and her darkened skin, my skin crawls. It just seems wrong. Like, I want to ask Plan B Productions, Why wouldn’t you hire someone who bears even the slightest natural resemblance? Halle Berry could have rocked it as Marianne Pearl. If not, then you take on your white chick, and let her be. Somehow, a prosthetic nose is fine. A fat suit I can handle. But watching Ms. Holier and Sexier Than Thou and Me and Everyone We Know parade around in semi-blackface makes me think something is wrong with the world.

Ouch! Bragelina fans will revolt. She adds, “I am so in agreement with Vogue reader Cristina Migliaccio, whose letter ran in the magazine’s April issue: “The only thing I don’t get is why Angelina tries to perpetuate almost virginal awe and surprise at the circumstances of her very calculated life choices.”"

The film will be shown at the 60th annual Cannes Film Festival which opens Wednesday. Jolie and her boyfriend Brad are expected to attend.

The only things on the internet about Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and the kids seem to be a) the same regurgitated nonsense b) lies c) speculation or d) invasive to their privacy. So, for the first time, I’ve got nothing. I’m going to copy and paste for the time being, but what would you guys like to read or hear about? Do you want my reviews of her movies? Pictures? I’m up for ideas….

Angelina Jolie has revealed that baby Shiloh was planned, even though she had previously sworn off giving birth to a child herself.

She told Reader’s Digest recently: “Before I met Brad, I always said I was happy never to have a child biologically. He told me he hadn’t given up that thought.�?

“Then, a few months after Z came home, I saw Brad with her and Mad, and I realized how much he loved him, that a biological child would not in any way be a threat. So I said, ‘I want to try.’�?

The couple plan more children (�?More biological, more adopted.�?) in addition to the four children they already have, and that adopting an older child rather than a baby - as they did with latest member of the family, Pax - has been very rewarding so far.

Speaking of Pax’s arrival, she said: “The first two days, he cried a lot. I hired a translator, and he would explain what was going on.�?

“The first night, I slept alone with him. I was expecting him to wake up and scream, but he woke and just stared at me. I handed him a stuffed animal, and we walked around the room pointing at things.�?

“By day three, he didn’t want me to put him down. I think he got used to the reality that somebody loves you and that’s what a mommy is.�?

“We had a long talk with Mad about the fact that his brother is going to be scared and that Mommy is going to have to give him attention. And we’ve tried to figure out a lot of private time for each of them.�?

“When everybody goes to bed, we give Mad time. When everybody is at school, we give Shiloh time. In between, Z and Pax each get special time. And on Sundays we have a big family sleep, when the boys get in bed with us and we watch a movie. It started with Mad, then Pax, and now Z is desperate to move into the bed. We’re talking about having to build a bigger bed!�?

She added that it amuses both her and Brad at how fast they’ve become a large - and growing - family: “I met this amazing person, and we realized we had very similar views on how we wanted to live our lives. It’s happened quickly, with so many children. Yesterday, picking up the kids from school, Brad turned around in the car, and there were three of them. He couldn’t stop laughing.�?

“[Brad] couldn’t go with us to Vietnam to get Pax because he was working. But they got together very quickly. I think Pax, after seeing how much Zahara and Mad and Shi love Brad, understands that he’s his daddy. Everybody seems to be safe in his arms. He makes everybody laugh. He helps everybody.�?

“Extra�? has details from Angelina Jolie’s brand new interview about Brad and the kids.

In the new issue of Reader’s Digest, Momma Angie said that she and partner Brad Pitt set aside special time in the week for each of their children.

The world’s most beautiful couple and their four adorable kids – Pax, Maddox, Zahara and Shiloh – spend Sundays in bed watching movies together.

She also revealed that while she disciplines the girls, Brad has the daddy-duty down with the little men of the house.

Angie got even more candid with Reader’s Digest, talking about what it was like for Pax, three-and-a-half, to adjust to a home so far away from Vietnam.

“There were all these things he’d never had,�? she said. “The first time I gave him a bath, he was suddenly laughing, out of his mind. He took five baths in one day. We’d be talking, and he’d take his clothes off and run into the bathroom.�?

She also told Reader’s Digest how she’s dealing with the death of her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, who recently succumbed to cancer.

“I’m one of those people who walk around as if it’s fine, and then suddenly I don’t know why I’m crying over my breakfast,�? she told the magazine. “My mother was my best friend. I’m so grateful I had her as a mom.�?

But she said she finds a lot of strength in her family, and despite what the tabloids say, they are just a normal couple. She told the magazine that she loves Brad because, “He slows me down to kind of get it right, to relax into the strength of my family and the love.�?

Pax and Angelina were photographed boarding the jet bound for America this morning. Pax is visibly stressed. That poor tyke has to be completely overwhelmed at this point and now he’s being whisked across the world to meet yet another new sibling.

Hopefully Pax will learn to be calm about his whirlwind life as Madd and Z are of theirs! Both are seen here sound asleep being carried onto the plane by handlers.

I just really hope that when the Jolie-Pitts all unite in the US, that they spend a long period of time just being together behind closed doors to give Pax some time to get used to and form a bond with the family and learn the language, and to give the other children a while to adjust to a sibling dropped into the mix (age wise) of their already established hierarchy.

Brad Pitt has recently told Interview magazine that he is unimpressed with his children being photographed every day, “I wonder what their perspective of the world is - go to the store and there are 20 cameras all fighting for a shot. They just think that whenever you go there are these random bands of crazy people with flash photography.”

Brad also said, “Truthfully, I think it’s really invasive to kids. There ought to be some kind of law.”

My personal opinion, as much as I enjoy the photographs and would have a lot less to talk about without them, the paparazzi needs to leave the kids AND mom and dad alone.

If you haven’t yet heard, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have relocated their family to New Orleans, at least for the duration of the filming of Brad’s newest movie, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

Apparently, the family enjoys the Big Easy, “I do like it there,” Brad said, “It’s one of our most unique cities and it certainly needs some help right now. I know it will do fine, and the people are just fantastic.”

Angelina recently told US Magazine, “We love it there. The kids are going to go to school there. We’re really looking forward to it.”

While Brad is filming, Angelina is reportedly looking forward to being a typical mom to Mad, Zee and Shiloh.

Says a source close to AJ, “She’s interested in befriending normal moms so she can do things with the kids.”

Construction is set to begin this month (January) on the 20 environment-friendly homes Pitt jointly is having built in conjunction with Global Green USA.

Another Manson-watcher tells Page Six he’s also close pals with Brad Pitt’s paramour, Angelina Jolie - who caught up with the rock star when she was in L.A. a little over five months ago. “They’ve known each other for a long time,�? said our source, “since she was way more wild than she is now - they are still good friends, though.�?

Personally, there’s no way I can see her doing this. What do you all think?

Angelina has recently been quoted (repeatedly and everywhere it seems) as saying ill things about Madonna’s adoption of a little boy called David from Malawi. Angelina states, “The article included many falsehoods. I said many positive things that were omitted. I feel we must focus on the present and I encourage everyone to be supportive so that every child can adjust nicely to their new home.”

The quotes in question were published by France’s Gala magazine, “Madonna knew the situation in Malawi, where (David) was born. It’s a country where there is no real legal framework for adoption. Personally I prefer to stay on the right side of the law. I would never take a child away from a place where adoption is illegal.”

Just a note, I haven’t previously reported on these quotes because I couldn’t substantiate any of them and did not feel that they were credible.

According to the Bellfast Telegraph, Angelina Jolie was looking for someone to become a father figure for her children when she met Brad Pitt. Previous reports circling the internet have quoted her as saying that she was very happy as a single mother and was not looking for a significant other or father for Maddox or Zahara, who’s adoption was in the works at that time.

Angelina and Brad have moved out of their reportedly $8,000 per night sweet in the Virgin Islands in order for Brad and Babel costar Cate Blanchette to go to the Palm Springs International Film Festival. Angelina and their Children, Maddox, Zahara and Shiloh were in Los Angeles.

When asked if Brad and Angie want another child, Brad responded, “Always, of course, we’ll let you know when we get there.�?

People Magazine reports that Brad and Angelina were in the Caribbean with Blanchett for filming of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. “We wrapped at 6 in the morning, got on a plane and got our crusty ***es here,�? Brad reports to People.

The couple will be making their way to New Orleans so Brad can film Benjamin Button.

I came across this interview of Angelina and Brad in Namibia from last summer. It seems that the interview is from shortly after the birth of Shiloh Nouvel. I have to say, all woman should look that good shortly after giving birth. Oh, and when watching this? Watch Brad… is it my imagination or does he look… bored?

According to Yahoo!, baby Shiloh is the #2 celebrity baby search of 2006, beat out only by Suri Cruise, daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.

Kate, a very talented artist, has produced a work called “Blessed Art Thou” depicting Angelina Jolie as the Madonna. Angelina’s Children, Maddox, Zahara and Shiloh are also shown in the painting. The work is to be on display January 5th through the 8th at Miami’s Miami Convention Center for their Art Miami Fair. Kate will be on location Friday and Saturday.

According to the people at IDontLikeYouInThatWay.com, Jennifer Aniston has completely lost it. Apparently Jennifer’s “friends” decided to open their mouths to US Weekly who printed the, more-or-less fodder in January’s issue. These “close friends” are claiming that Aniston’s mental state is “fragile” lately, particularly since Vince Vaughn’s cheating and Angelina’s maryad of interviews to promote her new movie The Good Shepherd.

On the effect of seeing pictures of baby Shiloh:
“she collapses in a heap, clutching her womb like she’s been stabbed if she so much as passes a baby stroller on the street.”

On how she deal with it:
“throwing baby dolls into a bonfire on the beach behind her place in Malibu. It’s creepy, but she says it makes her feel better for a few hours.”

Hey, there’s a bright side:
“At least she’s stopped watching ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’ over and over again, for days at a time without eating or sleeping. That just wasn’t healthy.”

According to IDontLikeYouInThatWay “Jennifer Aniston could eat live bunnies and seem less crazy”. I personally think that’s taking it a little lot too far, but I do agree with them that if Jennifer is really burning baby dolls in her back yard that she should seek help, and not pass go on her way to the pharmacy to fill her perscription of Prozac.

I do think IDLYITW has a point in saying, “In Jennifer’s defense, it must suck knowing that the only reason you were ever considered A-list has moved on and started a family with someone who is better than you in every possible way. Not in Jennifer’s defense, it’s been two years. If my math is right, this means it takes less time for a newborn baby to speak in complete sentences than it does for Jennifer Aniston to realize Brad Pitt isn’t coming back home.”
