Angelina Jolie Watch

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are supporters of Global Action for Children. In 2006, the Joli-Pitt Foundation gave GAC $1 million. They followed up with a $100,000 contribution late last year. The advocacy and policy group is using Madonna’s failed Malawi adoption to bring attention to orphans and marginalized children all over the world.

Reports have been surfacing recently that Angelina Jolie’s work out regime is so strenuous that a combination of working out and not enough nutrition are causing the actresses veins to bulge in her hands and arms. Apparently Angelina isn’t the only on with this problem lately. Behold… Madonna…

Uber-veiny Angelina

According to a 39 year old female model, the battle between Angelina Jolie and Madonna actually started years ago, and began over her. Jenny Shimizu is saying she had a love affair with both woman at the same time. Jenny is stating that Madonna flew her around the world to secret places just before Madonna met her current beau, Guy Richie.

Despite Angelina’s denials that her statements were misquoted and taken out of context, she is coming under heavy criticism by Adoptions groups. Angelina was recently interviewed by France’s Gala Magazine, as having said, “Madonna knew the situation in Malawi, where (David) was born. It’s a country where there is no real legal framework for adoption. Personally I prefer to stay on the right side of the law. I would never take a child away from a place where adoption is illegal.�?

A representative of an international adoption advocate from Seattle stated, “Angelina is not a hero in the adoption community. (She) does nothing, or at least very little, to keep international adoption open and legal for American families and children.�?, “She adopted Maddox under a questionable agency, where the directors went to prison. It would be nice to see her speak out on issues and policies surrounding international adoption.�?

David Ptasnik with Americans Adopting Orphans commented on rumors that Angelina’s adoption of Maddox was a bit questionable, “(At the time) it was the largest agency in the world. Angelina Jolie wouldn’t know that she was entering into a questionable adoption.�?

Angelina used Seattle based Seattle International Adoptions while adopting Maddox. The agency was run by Lauryn Galindo who has since been found guilty of visa fraud and money laundering in relation to the Cambodian adoptions she helped to facilitate. American adoption of Cambodian children is now suspended by the United States Government as a result.

Angelina has recently been quoted (repeatedly and everywhere it seems) as saying ill things about Madonna’s adoption of a little boy called David from Malawi. Angelina states, “The article included many falsehoods. I said many positive things that were omitted. I feel we must focus on the present and I encourage everyone to be supportive so that every child can adjust nicely to their new home.”

The quotes in question were published by France’s Gala magazine, “Madonna knew the situation in Malawi, where (David) was born. It’s a country where there is no real legal framework for adoption.
