Angelina Jolie Watch

I saw this story late yesterday and it just made me laugh because I knew it was completely made up.  This latest Star features a cover story insisting that Angelina and Brad are in the process of hammering out a prenup as a prelude to their upcoming nuptials.

A family “friend” even said that Brad was the one pushing for the agreement, “he wants a prenup in place that spells out everything — their finances, their property and who will raise their children in case something happens.” The mag also continues to insist that Angie is pregnant again.

Of course there’s no truth to any of it. Brad’s manager Oren Segal refuted the claims at MomLogic.com: “There is no truth to any of these claims.”

Well I guess we didn’t have to wait until Wednesday, Star Magazine has issued the following statement on their website:

Sources in a position to have information regarding a secret wedding ceremony between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had confirmed to Star that the couple married in the French Quarter Wedding Chapel on Saturday, March 29. “There were two weddings, one planned and one unplanned,” one source told Star. “Brad and Angelina’s was the planned ceremony. The weather wasn’t good, so we were indoors.” After further investigation, the sources are not standing by their story. Brad and Angelina’s reps have not commented.

Translated. We paid someone a lot of money to give us some “inside” scoop and they totally took us for a ride. What did you expect? We’re only a gossip rag.

Part of me wonders if Angie and Brad planted this story to weed out moles close to them.

According to ETonline, our couple might have tied the knot this weekend in New Orleans. The rumor mill has it that Brad’s parents, Angie’s brother James and all four little Jolie-Pitts were at the ceremony. ET contacted Brad’s rep who had “no idea” if they’d gotten married.

Updated while writing: People reports there was no wedding this weekend. Too bad. Maybe next time. Cause we know there will be a next time.

FYI on origination of the rumor: Seems Star magazine started the whole mess by claiming to “exclusively” reveal that Brad and Angie tied the knot in the French Quarter.  The rag says we can get all the details in this week’s edition which hits stands Wednesday.  I might just buy this foolishness just see how, and if, they backtrack.  Wow, they really stepped in it this time.   Not that they care.  I honestly can’t believe that ET piggy backed off something Star printed.  That really surprises me.

According to this issue of “Life & Style” Magazine, now Angie wants to get married and Brad says nay!

In this weeks’ wedding extravaganza issue, an insider close to Angie says “She wants to get married more than anything!”
Hum..this to me didnt have Angie written all over it. The insider ads that Angelina has fallen in love with Brad all over again for casting her in “A Mighty Heart”, a movie that is giving her a lot of Oscar Buzz.

Unfortunatly though, Brad is not jumping at the idea. Insider says he is “Skeptical of Marriage”.

I dont blame him. If it aint broke why fix it? I say follow the examples of Gene Simmoms and his girl and Goldie Hawn and her beau.

Brad’s spokesperson, Cindy Guagenti, is actively denying reports that Brad and Angelina Jolie are not getting married next weekend in the Dominican Republic. This really comes as no surprise since both have stated that there are no wedding plans in the mix.

According to George Nader, an art dealer, Brad had asked him to look into marriage laws for foreigners “But just that. He didn’t tell me they are coming to marry or when they would do it,” Nader told The Associated Press.

The wedding rumors just won’t cease. The newest is that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are to wed in the Dominican Republic over Easter.

My opinion? Don’t expect a wedding announcement in People Magazine. Both Brad and Angelina have made it pretty clear that they’re not running to the pulpit.

According to Woman’s Day Magazine they did.

The Mag is saying that Brangelina exchanged rings and loving vows in a touching private ceremony to honor Angelina’s promise to her mother, Marcheline Bertrand when March pleaded, “You marry that man. He’s an angel sent to look after you”. The couple is said to have exchanged their vows during a romantic holiday in Costa Rica.

“They stood in the sand in their bare feet, looked into each other’s eyes and promised to love each other for ever, and to be loving with their children for just as long,” a friend reveals.

I usually don’t think of Woman’s Day as being a tattle-tale-rag-mag, so it could be true. However I’m thinking it’s not, I can’t see them having a “romantic weekend” so soon after the death of Angelina’s mom.

Reports are flying throughout the internet that Marcheline Bertrand’s dying wish was that Brad and Angelina marry, and Angelina vowed that she would fulfill her mothers wish.

A source close to the family had this to say, “”Marcheline held Angie’s hand and told her, ‘You marry that man. He’s an angel sent to look after you. Marcheline almost looked on him as a son. She thought the world of him and was constantly nagging Angie to ‘wed that man’. Brad has never stopped trying to push (Jolie) down the aisle but she’s always resisted, saying that it’s the children who legally bind them together. Now she’ll make good on her death-bed promise.”

Rumors are also abound that the couple had a very private ceremony on the beach, that was possibly not a legal wedding.

Only time will tell if any of these rumors are true, we can only hope that regardless of whether or not they get married, that they remain happy with one another.

Matt Damon is supposedly adamant that friends Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will marry in 2007, as Fametastic reports.

Matt told guests at a recent Miami party: “Brad and Angie will get married by the end of 2007. They’re not going to spend the rest of their lives like this. It will happen naturally, something organic and unplanned.�?

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie still love each other without any nuptials responsibilities.

Personally, I don’t see them rushing to the alter, if they ever get to the alter at all. They’re happy. Their children are happy. Isn’t that enough?

Okay, that might be a stretch, but in a recent interview, Matt Damon proclaimed to Good Morning America’s Diane Sawyer, “Doing a love scene with the girlfriend of a good friend is weird. We all know each other.”. Damon is not only a friend of Brad Pitts off screen but he also worked with Pitt in the Ocean’s Eleven and Ocean’s Twelve movies.

“In reality, both the people we’re involved with couldn’t have cared less about that (love scene) because they know us,” said Jolie.

Make sure to tune into Larry King Live (CNN) on Monday for her recently taped interview. Already released transcripts show that she will talk about a possible marriage to Brad (unfortunately that’s a no) and selling the pictures of baby Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt.

Let’s just hope her hair doesn’t look quite that big in the actual interview.

Vogue Magazine spoke with Angelina Jolie for their January edition about her relationship with Brad Pitt. According to Angelina (although not pushed by the interviewer on the subject) she stated that she and Brad did not begin their relationship before the official breakup of Pitt and Jennifer Aniston. In fact, Angelina stated that she was very “content�? as a single mom and was not looking for a committed relationship with anyone, particularly her married costar in “Smith�?. She states that during filming, she and Pitt became “very good friends�? and the friendship continued after the movie wrapped up. Pitt/Aniston announced they were breaking up in early 2005, and Angelina states, “And then life developed in a way where we could be together, where it felt like something we would do, we should do.”

I believe her. I have a feeling that after Billy-Bob cheated that she was hurt enough to not do that to someone else. Thoughts?
