Angelina is in New York to do some last minute shooting for Wanted. Our girl looks divalicious in her typical dark glasses and basic black.

Because I didn’t watch the Superbowl, I completely missed this commercial which was shown in during the game. The theatrical trailer was released way back in October with an anticipated release date of March 28th. The release date was changed to summer blockbuster season but no exact date was set. This commercial shows a June 27th premier. The date switch is great news for Angie and the rest of the cast. That means the movie is expected to do extremely well. I didn’t get to see Beowulf in the theater so it will be a real treat to see her on the big screen again. Hopefully this film will be a great success for Angelina.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are vacating their plush New York digs for….plush California digs. This was Maddox’s last day of school as demonstrated by all the stuff his mom has to carry out. Like mom’s everywhere she must be asking herself how such a small person accumulates so much stuff over such a short period of time.

US Weekly is reporting that Angelina starts filming The Changeling next week and that Brad will begin work on State of Play during the latter part of October.

State of Play is based on a British political miniseries. Brad plays Cal McCaffrey a former campaign manager, who is now part of the team of investigative journalists looking to solve a case involving his former boss play by Ed Norton(nice to see them together again). The film’s cast also includes Helen Mirrem, Jason Bateman, Rachel McAdams and Robin Wright Penn.

I’m not sure if the information about them filming at the same time is correct. Brad and Angie don’t usually work on films at the same time. Maybe they’ve worked out some sort of arrangement where he works a week and she works a week. US Weekly has been known to get a detail or two wrong….

Maddox even got a going away card from his classmates at the school. The oldest Jolie-Pitt sibling attends this particular kind of school because the curriculum is the same worldwide. This was his fourth school. He’s also an alumn of schools in Los Angeles, New Orleans(said to be the most relaxed) and Prague.

I’m been wondering about all this school changing for Maddox. I’m guessing he won’t be harmed by it too much because it’s what he’s used to. I imagine it’s a bit like being a kid with parents in the military you get used to it.

We knew that they were living at the Waldorf Astoria but we didn’t know they were living at the Waldorf Towers. Big difference people. The Waldorf Astoria is a chichi hotel. The Waldorf Towers is a chichi residential section of the chichi hotel.

The pair plus their four kids quietly began recently living in a newly renovated, roughly 6,000-square-foot apartment at the famed site after deciding to make Manhattan their home, at least for the time being, sources said.

The digs, said to run around $100,000 a month, have five bedrooms, a library and a large gourmet kitchen all covering 6,000 square feet.

Other amenities for permanent residents are:

• Twice-daily maid service

• Formal dining rooms available with seating for up to 20 persons

• Full complement of technology services

• Access to all amenities of The Waldorf Towers, including fitness center, complimentary safe deposit boxes, concierge services and round-the-clock room service.
• And best of all weekly magic show for the kids.

The kids and dad might have to spruce up their wardrobe a bit because the Waldorf is not big on the ultra casual. Guests Residents aren’t allowed to wear t-shirts, tank tops, faded jeans, cut-offs or casual hats in the main lobby, restaurants or other public areas. Wait. The kids hardly ever wear this kind of stuff. Maybe it’s just dad that’ll have to ditch the t-shirts.

Brad has to ditch the tight t-shirts. ….. We really need to rethink this decision.

It’s not clear how long the Joli-Pitts will be living in the fancy smancy Towers but my guess is just as a long as it takes Brad to finish Burn After Reading. No official word on where The Changeling(Angie’s next project) will film but I’m guessing California.

Yesterday, Angelina and Shiloh did the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Unfortunately we’ve only got the car pics. Maybe some others will surface soon. I’m not sure if this was before or after Maddox and Zahara’s helicopter ride.

Last week Shiloh visited the museum with dad and mom. This time it looks like it was just the girls. No word on who Shiloh’s favorite artist is. Maybe she just likes to hang out in African Arts section since she was born in Namibia. Me thinks she really likes having mom, dad or both all to herself.

She could have picked up one of those plushies she likes. The William® Plush Toy looks pretty cool. It’s based on “the original faience hippo (Egyptian, Dynasty 12, circa 1981–1885 B.C.)” which “has been a favorite with Museum visitors” since 1917.

Okay, now I want one. What?! It’s only 15 bucks.

Today Angelina, Brad, Maddox and a sleepy Zahara took a helicopter ride out of New York City to unknown parts. I was was surprised to see Angelina glam it up in white shorts. She never wears shorts. She will wear a short skirt so I shouldn’t be too surprised.

Brad’s still sporting the cap. He really does hate his movie hair. I actually don’t think it’s that bad. Angelina also wore a lovely white blouse, her favorite Michael Kors ballet flats and a Gerard Darel knit bag.

Wonder where they went? On a tour of the city maybe? I hope Zahara woke up before all the fun ended.I’m glad they were able to get some family fun time without us pesky gossip hounds around.

Finally! Brad is showing some skin. Yummy. Yesterday, Papa Pitt had some time off and was able to join Angelina for the daily Maddox pick up. Interesting that they are all wearing white tops. I wonder if Maddox demands that his entourage dress alike to be seen with him. I thought Zahara was the diva but I might be wrong. If Angelina shows up in gray pants and a mohawk we’ll know who’s the boss.

I was digging around YouTube and found this nifty video of Shiloh and Angelina visiting Brad on set yesterday. That’s a mighty big trailer you have there Mr. Pitt. What?! Watch the video and get your mind out of the gutter.

What did Brad and Angelina do yesterday? Well, Shiloh, mom and dad had a nice visit on the Burn After Reading set.

Shiloh was wearing her uber cute mauve sweater. I think it’s becoming her signature piece. Mom is rocking an updated Flash Dance look and Brad-well Brad’s just trying to hide some bad hair he’s adopted for his Burn role.

Miss Shiloh was also fascinated with a tape dispenser. Didn’t that girl just get some real toys? Just like a kid. You buy them a teddy bear and they want to play with the box it came it.

The Jolie-Pitts had some family time Saturday at the chichi Kidville located on New York’s upper west side. Kidville is large family center that has a huge schedule of classes, ballet and cooking to name a few, as well as indoor and rooftop playgrounds. The elder Jolie-Pitts weren’t able to take advantage of the adult manicure or massage services because all your kiddies have to be older for you to leave them unsupervised-not that Brad and Angelina would that.

I’m digging on Shiloh’s black tights. It must be getting a tad bit chilly in New York. Zahara’s finally old enough to traverse the paps all by her lonesome.

Yesterday Angelina spent some time at the European Commission. No word on what was discussed but perhaps it has something to do with with her meeting with British Foreign Secretary David Miliband.

Today at the Clinton Global Initiative, in her role as co-chair of the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, Angelina announced a program that will aid 1 million refugee children with education during and after conflicts.

“These are the children who most need a safe place to learn, a place to heal, a place to learn reconciliation, and a place to just be children. Some think we should only provide emergency relief to children in conflict … They say education is not life-saving. All of us here today would beg to differ.”

She feels education is the key to real change.

“Education can transform the lives of children in conflict, giving them the tools to create a better future for their families and their nations. This Partnership is putting words into action and demonstrating that even in the most difficult circumstances, every child can and should have a chance to learn.”

The Education Partnership for Children of Conflictt was founded by Jolie and [Gene]Sperling as part of a 2006 Clinton Global Initiative commitment. Housed at the Council on Foreign Relations, the Partnership helps fund new education projects for children in conflict, post-conflict, refugee and emergency situations. New projects developed through the Partnership will be announced annually at the Clinton Global Initiative.

Commitments from the Partnership include assisting 200,000 Iraqi refugee children and 300,000 children affected by the Darfur genocide.

Because of paparazzi, crazy fans(like us) and annoying parents, the Jolie-Pitts have been forced to take the side entrance at Maddox’s New York school. We’ve got some shots of the “secret” entrance. It doesn’t look so secret but seems to allow some privacy and photographer distance.

Angelina and Brad have even agreed to stagger pickup and dropoff times so as not to be so disruptive. This strategy should make life a bit easier for the entire school.

Still, some of the parents have lost it a bit. Here’s a snippet from a letter that the director was forced to send on September 14th.

Regretfully, I have seen some parents taking pictures, asking for autographs, talking to the media and even shouting at Ms. Jolie and Mr. Pitt for recognition,�? the source quoted with some glee. “Therefore, in the best interests of the school and safety of your child(ren) I must ask for everyone to please respect the family’s privacy and discontinue these practices.

At some point this week, Angelina will have a sit down with Foreign Secretary David Miliband in New York City.

“He will meet Angelina Jolie in New York for talks,” a Miliband spokeswoman said while speaking on condition of anonymity in line with ministry policy.

Further details on the planned content of the discussion weren’t immediately available.

Rumor has it that Miliband is trying to modernize FO’s image in addition to softening England’s take on global democracy. He’s even hoping to have Angelina appear on a spiffy new FO website.

This is going to be very busy week for Angelina who’s currently staying home with the kids while Brad works. She’ll also spend some time helping raise funds for refugee education.

Angelina Jolie is using her time in New York to join forces with the Clinton Global Initiative to help raise funds for refugee education.

UN High Commissioner for Refugee António Guterres and UNHCR’s Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie will join former US president Bill Clinton at the September 26-28 meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative in New York, issuing a call to raise $220 million for refugee education. The CGI aims to inspire commitments of help from its members.

The UNHCR programme is aimed at providing Education (Plus) – education beyond the existing schooling now offered by UNHCR – to nine million refugee children by 2010. Education (Plus) will provide resources to develop a child’s full potential, with an emphasis on girls’ participation and additional activities like life-skills training, sport programs, disease prevention and access to technology.
