Soccer star David Beckham called foul on rumors that he and and Angelina Jolie are set to model for  Armani. “I don’t think that’s true,” David told Extra. “I definitely don’t think that’s true. Think it’s something put out in the press.”

Rumors started swirling last week that Angelina was the new face of an Armani fragrance. Several sources said that Angelina would do a photo shoot with David who’s currently the international face of the fashion powerhouse. One “insider” even said that the company was trying to smooth things over with Brad and Victoria.

“Armani bosses are now trying to coax Mrs Beckham, 35, and Jolie’s partner Brad Pitt, 45, into approving the idea of a joint advertisement to avoid any off-screen friction,” a tabloid reported.

David denounced the entire idea:
“She’s an amazing person and so is Brad. They’re an incredible couple — got an amazing family. You know she wouldn’t do it and I wouldn’t do it. At the end of the day, I wouldn’t do it because I’m married.”

Oh well it was a fun rumor while it lasted.

Rumor alert:

The internet is buzzing with rumors that Angelina will appear in an Armani ad alongside David Beckham.  The soccer superstar is currently the international face of the fashion house while his wife Victoria fronts their underwear line. The rumors mill says that Angelina will endorse the company’s new perfume.

The Daily Star insists that Angelina has signed a three year deal with Armani and that the label hopes to coax her into posing with David Beckham.

“She is arguably the world’s biggest woman star and he is the most sought-after man,” an industry honcho said about two stars.  “Putting them in front of a camera together would be electric.”

Victoria and David cross branded for the company with a racy add campaign last year.

The British tabloids adds that “Armani bosses are now trying to coax Mrs Beckham, 35, and Jolie’s partner Brad Pitt, 45, into approving the idea of a joint advertisement to avoid any off-screen friction.”  (This part doesn’t sound very authentic to me but what do I know.)

“The two are exceptionally beautiful on camera. But both are in committed relationships. So the advert would have to be sexy without offending their partner,” another insider says. (That makes sense.)

I’ve no idea if this is true or not but I do think Angelina would be a terrific face of the Italian fashion house.    If this does all come to fruition,  I’ll bet the ads will be fun and sexy without going over the line.  I’d love to see Angelina and Brad do some sexy photos again.  It’s been too long since they met on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

Of course we don’t need this statement but the apparently the rest of the world does.  Rumors began to swirl earlier this week when Brad left New York to start working on his latest film Billy Beane in California.  The National Enquirer helped add fuel to the fire when it declared that Brad and Angie were going their separate ways only and would make official appearances from time to time.   A rep for the couple soundly denies that the couple is on the outs. The rep simply told People that it’s not true.

We recently reported rumors that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt had been spotted in the Philippines. Soon another series of rumors were flying that the family wanted to adopt a child from the Philippines after they’d tried to adopt from Burma but failed. Now, the  Philippine Daily Inquirer and local authorities have squashed both stories.

“I have checked with all our offices coordinating VIP arrivals as well as with the Bureau of Immigration. Sorry to disappoint the fans, but they did not come to the Philippines,” Airport Authority general manager Alfonso Cusi told the the Inquirer.

Cusi said there’s no way Brad and Angelina could have made it into the country without government officials knowing.

“It should have been coordinated with us because there are matters like security precautions, that have to be undertaken for such a visit,” he said.

So much for that story. Did you but the Philippine’s story?

And the rumors keep coming. In this edition, of the Rumor Round Up we look at a two new rumors that are floating around about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Oh what fun.

Rumor #1
Brad gave Angelina a marriage ultimatum.
This one started with OK! magazine. Instead of buying into all the they’re-breaking-up-rumors OK!’s taking a completely different route. The tabloid insists that Brad’s is going to call it quits if Angelina won’t marry him.

“Brad’s told her, ‘Marry me, or it’s over.’” an “insider” told the magazine.  Apparently Brad’s  demanding a  wedding because he’s tired of being a single dad while Angelina films Salt. “Their relationship is so out of kilter, he believes marriage is the only thing that will bring it back around,” said the source.

The tab also says we should expect a New Orleans wedding after Salt wraps.

Verdict: OK! isn’t know it’s accuracy so don’t bet on it.

Rumor #1
Angelina snapped on Brad for drinking too much and ignoring the kids.
The rumor originated with Grazia magazine and perpetuated by  the UK Mail. They say that Angelina came home from a long day of shooting and found Brad passed out from drinking while the nannies tended to the kids.

A “friend” of Angelina’s told Grazi that:  “Angelina was completely and utterly exhausted, so when she came home after a hard day’s work and found Brad had apparently done nothing all day except watch DVDs, she was livid.”   The Mail’s site maintains that Angie’s anger was fueled by her liquid detox diet.

Verdict: See the above verdict.

Rumors are running rampant about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.  I thought it would be interesting to analyze how the rumors got started and their validity.

Rumor #1: Angelina and Brad are breaking up.

The gist

This rumor started with  Star magazine few weeks back. The rag claimed that Angelina caught Brad giving one  of their nannies a back massage and “completely flipped out.”  More recently Star reports that Angelina and Brad are sleeping in separate bedrooms because she so angry over the nanny affair.  In Touch added fuel to the fire by claiming  that Angie’s brother James Haven had to move in to just to referee.

Verdict: Neither Star nor In Touch is know for their accuracy so don’t believe the hype.

Rumor #2: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are adopting a child from India.

The gist

This rumor started  in 2006. Back then reports surfaced that Angelina and Brad had applied to adopt a child from the Priya Darshini Orphanage.  Current chatter claims that Angelina and Brad had to put that adoption on hold.

“They filled out all the paperwork but had to put the adoption on hold because of all their other commitments,”  and insider claims.

Angelina supposedly spilled the beans when she she met Slum Dog Millionaire star Azharuddin Mohammed.  The ten year old star  allegedly asked Angelina why she and Brad hadn’t adopted from his homeland. “Well, I’ll let you into a little secret, we will soon,” Angelina supposedly responded.

I couldn’t find any reliable source for this information.  Several sites quote the UK’s Sunday Express but I couldn’t find the article.

Validity:  Don’t hold your  breath.  I’m sure Angelina and Brad will adopt again but the only sites printing the information print any story about Angelina and Brad.

I started seeing these rumors all over the internet yesterday but couldn’t track them down to a reliable source.  I finally did track down the source but I’m not sure how reliable it is.  Christophe at Buzz News reports that over the weekend Angelina had a meeting with Bond producers about joining the franchise as a reoccurring character. For years, there have been rumors about Angelina becoming a Bond girl or the anti-Bond girl. I’ve never been a fan of the idea that she’d play a disposable love interest or even a one time tough girl who’s never heard from again. The idea of a a reoccurring character role is far more interesting. That being said, I’ve no idea if any of this is true or not. It would be fun to see Angelina and Daniel Craig work together again. I liked them in their chemistry in Tomb Raider.

….screamed nearly ever headline I read about Angelina Jolie today.  The story started with an OK! magazine cover story that said Angelina shouldn’t get pregnant again.

This according to a doctor that has never ever treated Angelina. Dr. Larrian Gillespie gave this quote:

“Angelina is at risk of having a stroke or heart attack, and because she developed gestational diabetes, there is a high risk she’ll have it again, with the child being at risk for diabetes.”

Yeah so how does she know this? Aren’t most pregnant women at risk for some complications? Dr. Gillespie probably got her information from the “insider” that claimed Angie’s pregnancies ended in “emergency caesarian sections.” It’s true that they were C-sections but I whether they were emergency or not we don’t. These stories continue to amuse me. First she’s pregnant again then she warned against a third pregnancy.

I saw this story late yesterday and it just made me laugh because I knew it was completely made up.  This latest Star features a cover story insisting that Angelina and Brad are in the process of hammering out a prenup as a prelude to their upcoming nuptials.

A family “friend” even said that Brad was the one pushing for the agreement, “he wants a prenup in place that spells out everything — their finances, their property and who will raise their children in case something happens.” The mag also continues to insist that Angie is pregnant again.

Of course there’s no truth to any of it. Brad’s manager Oren Segal refuted the claims at MomLogic.com: “There is no truth to any of these claims.”

Every few months or so we are faced with a pregnancy or adoption rumor about the Jolie-Pitt family. Rarely do they respond to any of it.  I mean if you are going to have another kid we’ll find out sooner rather than later.

The latest rumor required a flat out denial from Angelina’s manager. Geyer Kosinski says the rumor of a third pregnancy are “not true”. In Touch reported that Angelina “announced she was pregnant in a London restaurant when a waiter tried to pour her a drink.”   The “bump” on the cover is from a recent event honoring Clint Eastwood.

Bump? She’s a woman who’s given birth to three children via C-section.  If she didn’t have a little pooch I’d wonder if she was human.They also reported that the Salt filming schedule was moved because of the alleged pregnancy. (Wow they can really make this stuff up.)

Life & Style added fuel to the fire by wondering if Angie “was ‘three months along’ on a cover.

There are a ton of wild rumours flying around the internet about Angelina Jolie’s adoption of Pax Thien that are farces by people who, in my opinion, have nothing better to do with their time.

1st rumor - Angelina left Brad Pitt out of the loop during the adoption process of Pax. The truth is that Brad had to be in the US for filming of Benjamin Button. As soon as Angie got clearance to take Pax out of Vietnam, she returned to the US and Brad.

2nd rumor - Pax Thien’s biological mother is a heroin addict that is or will be trying to extort money from Angelina. This rumor, that started sometime Sunday afternoon from what I can tell, goes on to say that the orphanage lied to Angelina saying they didn’t know who his biological parents are when they really did. If you’ll notice, this story doesn’t show up in any of the mainstream publications (People, MSN, AOL News, etc) but only in a few off-beat not-in-print internet websites and on personal blogs.

So everyone can chill, all signs are pointing to their being no trouble in BrangelinaLand.
