After four years Jennifer Aniston finally addressed the Angelina’s Jolie and Brad Pitt romance that by Brad and Angelina co-starring in Mr.and Mrs. Smith. “There was stuff printed there that was definitely from a time when I was unaware that it was happening,” Aniston said in Vogue’s December 2008 issue. “I felt those details were a little inappropriate to discuss. That stuff about how she couldn’t wait to get to work every day? That was really uncool,” Jennifer said.

She’s referring to Angelina’s January 2007 interview with Vogue where she said that she couldn’t wait to get to work each day while filming Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

Jennifer also added that she and Brad have worked through a lot of things.

“Well, it never was that bad. I mean, look, it’s not like divorce is something that you go, ‘Oooh, I can’t wait to get divorced!’ It doesn’t feel like a tickle. But I’ve got to tell you, it’s so vague at this point, it’s so faraway in my mind, I can’t even remember the darkness. I mean, in the end, we really had an amicable split. It wasn’t mean and hateful and all of this stuff that they tried to create about Brad can’t talk to Jen and Jen can’t talk to Brad because this person won’t allow it. It just didn’t happen. The marriage didn’t work out. And pretty soon after we separated, we got on the phone and we had a long, long conversation with each other and said a lot of things, and ever since we’ve been unbelievably warm and respectful of each other.

Okay so raise your hand if you think Jennifer isn’t really over it. She says the “dark” period after the divorce is far away in her mind but she’s still prickly over something Angelina said nearly two years ago. I understand that this was a very difficult period in Jennifer’s life but don’t pretend everything’s hunky dory when clearly it isn’t.

In a recent interview of Angelina by Vogue Magazine, Angelina states that she has in fact met Jennifer Aniston briefly. They’ve shaken hands and said hello but nothing more. As to an actual sit-down conversation with Aniston, AJ says “That would be her decision [for a long sit-down], and I would welcome it.”.

I love Angelina, but is it just me or is she just trying to look like the better person? Seriously, what ex of your current flame have you ever been willing to meet in real life? Let alone a calm dignified lunch over cobb salad and Pellegrino?
