Jolie-Pitt Foundation Helps Schools
The Jolie-Pitt Foundation, Brad’s brother Doug(pictured left) and another Missouri businessman are banding together to help Springfield schools. The Care to Learn Foundation helps students with basic needs like hygiene, hunger and heath. Founders will donate “$3 for every $1 contributed, and funds will support.” The Foundation for Springfield Public Schools will oversee the fund. So many children aren’t able to learn because basic needs are not met. A hungry, sick child isn’t able learn. Kudos to Brad, Doug and Angelina for their continued support of young people. This effort should go a long way towards helping public school students in Brad’s home town. Totally random note: Doug’s a cutie like his brother.

First of all, thank you Brad and Angelina,as well as Doug for everything you do here in Springfield,MO.I know kids that go to school with my grandchildren that benefit from your generosity. All of you are certainly role models and I have the utmost respect for all the travel and hard work you do.Especially with your children being top priority.Kudos.I have never written a letter like this before and it is difficult.I am a 52 year old female with some pretty major health issues(disabled)but I try not to live as if they exist.Denial is a very misunderstood term.It enables me to carry on the best I can.I have had a very rough time the last 4 years.I am a very strong woman but I am going to admit I need a bit of help.My father was my best friend and I took care of him in one of the most valiant battles to live I have ever witnessed or heard of for 4 years. He passed in August08.During the ice storm my house burned down and I lost everything materialistically.6 months later my roommate was killed in a car wreck so I moved in with my daughter and my 3 grandchildren. My daughter is an RN and I am very proud of her for her fortitude and dedication as a single parent.1 year after putting herself through nursing school and surviving a kidnapping and terrible beating with a gun the night before her finals(which she still took)she caught a patient that fell and had a serious back injury.I feel like I am a burden and taking away from the kids although she has never complained. If there is anywhere I can apply for some kind of financial help so I can become self sufficient again I promise to donate time to the charity of your choice in return. On a lighter side.I have led a very interesting life with many interesting stories intertwined right here in good old Springfield,Mo. if you know anyone who might be interested in at least listening. You never know.My life might be a money maker on the big screen.Kind of a scary thought.Once again thanks for all you guys do and if any way possible please lead me in the right direction.Sincerly,Julie Ann Holden
